"I, Nunciel Great-Cook, swear to uphold the oaths and duties as Duke of the Duchy of Felkhath, to defend the people and the region."
"Do you, Nunciel Great-Cook, swear to ready your blade when called upon by your Arle, to fight at the Arle's commands, and to ready an army at the call?"
"I, Nunciel Great-Cook, swear to ready my blade when called upon by my Arle, to fight at the Arle's commands, and to ready an army at the call."
"Then, to the people of Felkhath, under the eyes of the Lady, I present to you, the Duke of Felkhath, your future Arle, Nunciel Great-Cook."
— Nunciel Great-Cook when taking on the title of Duke of Felkhath
Among the nobility of Theydim, the higher rank one was, the more titles they carried. The Arle generally also wore the titles of Duke, and Lord, so when their heir came of age, they would take on the lesser titles in a fealty-swearing ceremony. Different regions would hold these ceremonies differently, but when the Heir took on one of the lesser titles formally, it was an annoucement to the region that the Heir would be preparing to take on the roles and responsibilities of their future titles.   These ceremonies would also be the begining of the Heir's final stages in their education for the role, leading towards them acting on behalf of their would-be predecessor's interests and developing their own methods for achieving their own interests for the future in their roles.
