General Physical Condition
Is generally in poor health as she often doesn't eat, suffers from drug addiction and there is some permanent damage to her body as a result of physical harm caused to her by others and herself.

Looks permanently tired with large patches beneath her eyes and rarely seems to be in the moment (because she isn't). A few small scars are visible on the far left side of her face and she has white/grey hair. Has earrings that she got on the basis of one of her drawers saying "you'd look nice with earrings". The fact that she's grown up without enough food and continues not to eat enough really shows.

Short version: parents in arranged marriage in The Servants of God, subject to beatings+lockings-into-cabinets+starving as a means of discipline, Mela born when Elmir is 7 by unnatural means and is bullied, Elmir bullied for sticking up for Mela, Elmir's right arm snapped and Elmir basically gets classed as human trash, Elmir sent food-shopping with 3 others and saves dozens of lives by whacking a mega-mall shooter over the head (getting half her face and scalp covered in tiny scars), gets medal sent to her in mail and has to dig through trash for it after mum throws it out, is kicked out of religion for whacking the mega-mall shooter, has to stay amidst constant ridicule until she hangs herself, CHG medicine advanced AF so she's brought back to life, spends remainder of time 'til 15 in foster home, *toughy attitude activate*, can't get a job, homeless for several days, gets into art school because of the time she whacked a mega-mall shooter, experiences awkward interviews about life+mega-mall shooter whacking and avoids ones about life, has bad time at party, people at art school like drawing her and she likes being drawn, gets beaten up by Servants of God members, drugs, gets trapped in VR Net.
She was born to Andrew Soloman and Mary "Saluter" Soloman in an arranged marriage between religious zealots of The Servants of God who secretly hated being married and didn't like that they'd had a kid together, even if it was for the sake of the religion. Due to the religion allowing it (being anything if it's for the sake of punishing a misbehaving child), Elmir's parents used beatings, locking her in cabinets and withholding access to food as means of punishment whenever Elmir misbehaved, instances of her sticking up for her younger sister coming to be classed as misbehavior.
When Elmir was 7, her only sibling, Mela Solovan was born using an egg transferred into Mary from a woman near-genetically-identical to Mary (when the human population is in the hundreds of trillions, genetic uniqueness is no longer a thing). This was done because Mary had become infertile due to drug abuse (drugs are only allowed in the religion if your priest gives them to you. Yes a priest gave her the drugs. The drugs are given to those struggling with staying faithful) and, the moment this was learned of, banned by the religion as the only reason it hadn't been yet was because such a situation had yet to happen. Due to this, Mela was classed as Unholy Spawn (clones, children born through artificial insemination, those born out of wedlock and so on are all classed as Unholy Spawn) and therefore was considered to owe obedience to almost everyone else within the religion.
Mela was ruthlessly bullied and her parents were unwilling to stick up for her to avoid shaming themselves. Elmir, however, was willing to stick her neck out for her sister; repeatedly and often with the axe coming down hard. This led to Elmir herself being a common victim of bullying, with insults at her sister being considered a good way to screw with her.
On one occasion when Elmir was 13, she got in a fight with 3 older children (17 male, 16 male, 17 female) who joked about things being better if Mela was dead. Breaking of ribs, bones in her feet and ankles aside, one of them decided to snap (yes, snap) one of the bones in her right forearm and break the other by having her held down, lifting her arm up and stomping on it (the way you break hard-to-break sticks but with someone's arm). It was at this time that Elmir was classed as a Black Sheep, making it allowed within the organisation to attack her within some limits, rather than any investigation being done into who beat her up (her literally pointing at the individuals that did it was not considered proof, not least because one of those children was the great niece of the Left Hand of God, who's basically the pope of the religion).
The religion refused to give her permission to get medical help (her parents didn't bother asking a second time) to prevent any investigations into the organisation. It was partly due to this that, all the way until

, she was still unable to use her right arm for most things. She got into self harm around this time as there was something in her arm getting broken that she enjoyed (your body releases dopamemes when in extreme pain as a way for you to tough through whatever situation your cave-man brain thinks your in, probably just so you can grab a rock and make sure that tiger goes out with you... that said don't self harm kids because she joined the military

She and 3 other children (deliberately sent in a group to reduce the odds of any of them leaving the religion/running away and never coming back) were elected to go food shopping to restock the Summer School for that year at a mega-mall (Westfield but much bigger).
That happened to be the day that someone decided to pick up an airgun and shoot up their local mega-mall. After 2 of the children Elmir was sent with were killed and right side of her face and head was covered in small plastic splinters due to a bullet smashing into a plastic shelf, Elmir smashed the shooter over the head with a large box of canned goods using both her arms, further injuring her right arm. A medal for bravery was sent to home, which her parents threw away about an hour before Elmir dug through the community garbage heap to get it back.
Elmir, being classed as a Black Sheep, was not someone that anyone "owed obedience" to, including that mega-mall-shooter. Because of this, as well as Elmir already being on thin ice, she was excommunicated at 14.
Despite that, Elmir still had to live in that gated community as she was underage and her parents chose not to sign her up for adoption or foster care out of concerns about the possibility of Mela being removed from them as well (just to clarify: Elmir never asked to get adopted or put into foster care out of here attachment to her parents and sister). She lasted about 2 months amidst frequent physical attack, constant verbal abuse, her bedroom being stripped bare and her own sister being alienated against her.
She took a hanger designed for hanging the traditional Servants of God women's skirts, 2 nanobotically strengthened elastic bands and used them to hang herself from a ceiling-handle-bar in the shower, dying after 3 minutes and 42 seconds.
Mela saw her 3 minutes and 34 seconds into it, having heard Elmir crying and setting up, things which she did separately, and rushed to tell her parents. By the time her parents were there to stop her death, 4 minutes and 59 seconds had passed and she was already dead. Mela then went to her father's phone, against the orders of her parents, and called emergency services. Emergency services took a further 3 minutes and 17 seconds, breaking down the gates of the community and the door of the Solomon household, and were able to bring Elmir back to life using advanced medical technology.
Due to this event, particularly the failure of Elmir's parents to immediately request emergency services within it (although, in all fairness, they were actually unaware that medical technology was advanced enough for individuals to be brought back to life because of how limited their educations were), Elmir was confiscated from her parents and placed into foster care for the remaining 5 months of her legal childhood.
Despite an initial attempt to use her in The Population Program and some of its consequences, she turned out to be infertile when tested so those nanobots only improved her private life when she got older.
It was while she was in foster care, surrounded by mostly uncaring adults and children being used by gangs for drug movement, that she came to fully adopt her uncaring and aggressive attitude.
As for once she left foster care, she found herself to be lacking any qualifications in a world where all the manual work is being done by machines. Considering this, she tried to get into a free, pays-for-your-food-and-provides-a-room art school after about a week of homelessness. The interview went like this:
Interviewer: okay so your art is good but not good enough.
Elmir: okay
Interviewer: you also look like you haven't properly eaten or slept in weeks, always look like you either heard your dog died, are daydreaming or are in utter rage, have a discoloured line of skin at the front of your neck, scars on your wrists, constantly clutch your arm like it's your baby in a warzone and have grey hair for some reason, which isn't good for our image.
Elmir: Right. *gets up to leave*
Interviewer: *sees Elmir at a nice angle as she's walking out* wait one darn second you daughter of a mother-lover
Elmir: *stops in confused*
Interviewer: are you the girl that knocked out that mega-mall shooter a year or so back?
Elmir: *internally screams* N-nO
Lie Detector: She's full of [REDACTED].
Interviewer: Ahh you'll do amazingly for our school's image I know exactly which kid to boot off to make room for you.

Interviewer: Yeah he draws alien x octopus furry hentai we ain't having that.
And so, a year into her course, she would get invited to a party and, surprisingly enough, show up to it. She proceeded to drink tonnes of what she mistook for jonsberry (a GM super-fruit) juice, ate some pills on impulse, felt nice for a bit, vomited on both herself and a person sat on a toilet, curled up into the fetal position in a corner, cried and fell asleep. Her fellow partyers didn't do jack, diddly or squat about this because they found it entertaining and cute... In other words a pretty average first-time at a party 12/10 would put another character through something this awful and embarrassing again.
This got her noticed, as did her grey/white hair and gaunt look which made her subject to a lot of "stay still I'm drawing you" because of how unusual she looked among the others. You know that feeling you get when an overweight black woman calls you "baby" after you helped her pick up her trolley or you're getting your hair cut or those first 2 minutes or so before you realize the really nice weird-looking woman on the train saying she saw you in a dream is actually trying to recruit you into a cult or when the chalk on the board is slowly caressed along the board rather than scraped or when Bob Ross utters so much as a single word? Yeah that's the feeling she got from being drawn and it's because of that that she let herself be drawn and physically moved into positions.
She was out getting food for those in her room one day when 2 members of The Servants of God recognized her from the interview and took the opportunity to lure her into an alleyway by claiming they were going to sell her unlicensed cheap drugs. When they tried to beat her up, she managed to scratch out one of the eyes of one of them but ultimately had the crap beaten out of her because of them knowing about her arm, knowledge that was common among Servants of God members.
Virtual Reality: a place where one could get higher than was normally possible in real life without any physical harm to their bodies - and for just the equivalent to $450 (Elmir started charging people to draw her, claiming that it was an attempt to reduce the amount of her time taken up with posing... she raised that money in mere days and continued to eat, read, draw and so on with several people drawing her at a time).
AAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD that's how someone who survived literally dying ended up among the Outcast Escapists. the only people allowed to harm you are your BDSM partners and you shouldn't have any of those until you're at least 25

Despite her community's deliberate suppression of it, she's very intelligent and couldn't help but notice all the holes in ideas presented to her. She'd deliberately avoid thinking about this but, upon being booted out of the religion, she really started noticing the issues and, more importantly to her, the harm that The Servants of God do.

Cognitively believes that anyone should be allowed to do anything that isn't causing harm to others, but still struggles not to cringe when bearing witness to things she was taught to hate.

Avoiding her past by distracting herself from her trauma through drugs and alcohol followed by wanting to escape the VR Net after finding out that the VR helmets can be used to screw with her brain, something she's sick of from it being done to her by the SoG.
