Sen

History

The story of the Sen begins with the Zath on An-uras at the rise of the An-sarra Empire of An-ki   During the early days of the An-lil Republic (1254 BN0, they conquered the neighboring country of Isathra and forced the Zath people into slavery. They worked the fields, took care of the children, and later were forced into the mines.   Only remnants of the Zath language and culture survived the brutality visited upon them as they were forced to assimilate to An-lil culture, preserved in the Conu religion they practiced in secret.   In 1103 BN, a Conu prophet known only as the Ember Born revealed themself to the Zath. They proclaimed that within their people, the fire of truth still burned, calling them to freedom, but they must wait until the time is right. Under their secret leadership, the Conu faith spread.   The Ashchild revealed themselves in 1061 BN and founded the secret arts that Zath slaves could practice will performing their tasks. Even the most will trained overseers couldn't discern these martial arts from the work they extracted from their slaves.   The Wrath Born revealed herself in 791 BN and declared the Day of Wrath was at had when the Zath would rise up and break free from the chains that bind them.   Her message was not recieved well by the An-lil authorities who suppressed the Conu faith. This persecution enraged the Zath and spread the message of the Wrath Born and entrenched the Conu Faith among their people.   Sporadic violence flared up within the An-lil Republic, but increased as they reformed into the An-ki Empire.   In 775 BN, anger erupted into fullblown rebellion and a war that would last for 8 years.
