Graybluff Farthing
Demographics
The second-largest district yet it has the smallest of populations in Alimmar. Graybluff Farthing is home to the middle-class citizens who maintain the nature reserve of the Kippen Woods within the outer walls of the capital.
Government
Governance of the capital falls under the Emperor and his advisers. However, the districts of Alimmar each have a local nobleman that oversees them.
Defences
Similar to the Lower Ring Ward, the main defenses of Graybluff Farthing are the outer walls of Alimmar. A smaller set of walls separates Graybluff Farthing from Lower Ring Ward on the western side of the district. However the massive natural defense of the Teilen River and the cliffs of Blackfen Bay provide ultimate protection from most. To cross the Teilen River, one must venture over the stone bridge to Highlamp District through the gates or somehow manage to get through the drawbridge to the Imperial Ward.
Infrastructure
Due to the district being primarily a nature reserve within the city, only a small section of it has a functional sewer system underneath. This is primarily under the residential and business areas near the gatehouse on the western wall and at the ends of the bridges. A paved road network does span between the various building areas however when going into the Kippen Woods the paths are still cobbled but significantly smaller to resemble more of a strolling path through a park. Near the cliffs that overlook the Blackfen Bay on the Eastern side of the district, a fence line has been constructed to prevent accidental falls to the rocks below. Also at the Northeastern most point of the district, along the cliffside, is a large tower that is maintained as a lighthouse and lookout point for the bay.
Architecture
The buildings in the area are more spread out than the rest of the city due to the extra space available to the denizens. Built mostly of wood with a few stone buildings the area is rather barren for a civilized area.
