Lower Ring Ward

Demographics

The Lower Ring houses the majority of citizens of Alimmar. Primarily composed of the lower-class citizens as well as the slave centers. Being on the outskirts of the city, there is a greater blend of races in the area unlike the majority human populaces of the other districts.

Government

Governance of the capital falls under the Emperor and his advisers. However, the districts of Alimmar each have a local nobleman that oversees them.

Defences

Other than the main walls of Alimmar, the defenses are rather lacking in the Lower Ring Ward. As the largest district, many barracks and guard posts have been constructed in the area along with their towers. Though if the walls are breached the Lower Ring is vulnerable to the invaders.

Infrastructure

Like most of the capital, paved roadways and sewers are constructed throughout the Lower Ring as well as various plazas and parks. Being the first area people entering capital travel through many inns and taverns have been constructed in the area offering various services for their customers. Multiple bridges connect the Lower Ring's area on the other side of the Teilen River. The more affluent parts of the Lower Ring are lit during the evenings by lamplight along the roadways which are set alight and doused each and every day. However, a large portion of the district goes without light during the night.

Architecture

Having the largest population of citizens in the capital, the Lower Ring Ward's buildings are more tightly compacted together offering the greatest amount of usability for the landscape. Buildings generally are all two-story, however, farther from the outer gates and near the slave centers the buildings are normally single-story and rather run down from ill-repair. Near the gates and major thoroughfares, many of the buildings are well kept and follow the normalized look of the upper-class districts and areas.
