Whadi's North District
Description
This district is an urban section of the city housing the Upper-Middle class citizens. Composed mainly of successful and wealthy merchants, well-off families and such. Houses are well built with the typical sandstone aspect and doors are often adorned of colorful paintings representing something unique to each family living there. Group of four to ten houses often have a common garden where desertic plants grow and have a common drinking water well. Such groups of families often hire errand boys to go fetch fresh fish, produce and common goods from the market. This allows group of families to focus on cooking and other common chores.
History
While the Wheat District is the economic and trade hub of the city, merchant families had to settle thir living tents a little further away. Over-time tents became semi-permanent and eventually permanent homes. They are in close proximity to merchants and as well from the docks to get supplies while not being in the way of the expanding market. The sense of community and sharing stemmed from the harshness of the climate and necessity to support the sucessful merchants required to survive then blossom and expand.
