Whadi's Holy Plaza

Description

This is the religious 'district' of Whadi, although it is more like a group of buildings or a 'block' rather than a full district. It is where the main religious buildings are located. It consists of roughly a demi-dozen of full buildings and about a dozen shrines to the main religions worshipped on the Savage Coast.

History

This area of the city had a small rocky hill landmark and was a perfect spot to erect a small temple to Kelemvor. originally a small cavern in the rock housed crocodiles and it was the first religious spot to be used to the Crocodile god. As more and more travellers came to give offerings to the main gods, other shrines and temples were built over time. This area quickly became regulated and the authorities kept tabs on new shrines and demanded approval before anything new got built. Political authorities anted influence over worshippers and vice-versa.
