Whadi's Croc's Gutter District
Description
This district is literally a shantytown and mainly houses dock workers and less savoury segment of the population. Housing is really cheap, in disarray and almost never patrolled except for special displays of authority from the rulers to remind everyone who's in charge and who has the power. Most buildings are proper sandstone structures but are as dirty as the streets and alleys which reak and littered with unsavoury matter. It is notably uninteresting and avoided by all but the poorest members of the population of the city.
History
This area was originally really remote from the town and a completely separate settlement. It was not officially part of Whadi and was transient people, dockworkers who had lost everything to gambling and otherpoor people. They stole crates, sailcloth or other materials from docks to build some type of temporary housig to survive until the next pay day or forever. It was relatively near slaughterhouses, smithies and other noisy/smelly industries, providing other building materias or food scraps to be stolen and used as resources. The formal city very slowly developped and Croc's Gutter grew until both joined seamlessly. There are tensions with inhabitants of Old Forgar District As this district need to grow and is cornering in and sometimes evicting Croc's Gutter inhabitants by force.
