Beseda Luutar o Lemmen

Lady Beseda Luutar

The first daughter of Princess Bialle Beth, her only with Lord Marras Lemmen   Princess Bialle was wed to Lord Marras Lemmen of Ethelbrand, an influential if middling lord who became enamored of her whilst visiting Revelback. Lord Marras would die fighting Rathi rebels in the Rathlands two years later, forcing Princess Bialle to return to Revelback with her infant daughter, Beseda.   Shortly after her return, Bialle was married again, this time to Lord Othar Aerrin of Saolmoth. She would have a son and daughter with Lord Othar. It is unclear how Beseda was treated at Saolmoth, but Princess Bialle did send a spell to Revelback asking her father Lord Barthos to find a place for Beseda in his household. Before this could be done, however, Lord Othar died of a burst heart while at table. Princess Bialle brought her three children home with her to Revelback. Beseda was nine years old.   Once at Revelback, Princess Bialle quickly took a third husband, a very young and very recent lord named Ruhan Capall. Ruhan as only six-and-ten at the time, over ten years younger than Princess Bialle, yet the two became very close very quickly, soon bearing Princess Bialle her third daughter and fourth child, Helessa.   Beseda is thought to have had a life as enjoyable as one could expect, given her station. She had few friends but was polite and warm to all she met. There were offers of betrothal, but none that excited her and none that her mother took seriously. Lord Ruhan was a polite and kind father figure despite being closer to Beseda's age than Bialle's, and most noted that though he was fond of Beseda, he treated his wife's other daughters with equal respect. It was one of Lord Ruhan's household knights, Sir Grannet the Stout, who knighted Beseda's half-brother Beran.   Bialle and Ruhan were happily wed for nine years, until he and Beseda were discovered abed together less than a moon after she had entered majority. What instigated this is a mystery. Ruhan was kind to Beseda as he was to all of Bialle's children, but any insidious motives he had were well hidden. When brought before Lord Barthos, he insisted that Beseda had done the seducing. When Lord Barthos grew wroth at this, he then suggested his own wife, Princess Bialle, had ensorceled him somehow. Lord Barthos removed Ruhan's tongue and had him gelded, which caused an infection that shortly killed him.   Beseda expressed great regret over what had happened, but did not seem to mourn Lord Ruhan much. Shortly after this, she was taken to Dubraigh on the other side of Revellia and wed to Lord Urrik Luutar, a respectable but near-impoverished ruler of a middling clan. Despite this, they would bear two sons and one daughter. Beseda died birthing her daughter Briila, who was conceived after her first son Aardor had died from a Winter fever. It must be added that, despite her infamous entry into majority, Beseda's reputation in Dubraigh was regarded as spotless, and she neither said nor did anything to suggest she might be the sort of person who would seduce a married man. Her husband Lord Urrik is said to have wept openly at her passing.
