The divine Deities of vice
The Chthonic are the group of Deities who are outlawed, banished, and shamed on Aedar. Each for their own unique reason made the choice to betray their fellow Deities, and thus have been damned, imprisoned, or laid dormant. The Divine Barrier was created to keep these Deities from stepping foot on Aedar, but their influence can still be felt throughout the world through their cults, zealots, and cursed relics. No one knows their true intentions, but one must assume it is to shroud Aedar in darkness and death.
