Sacre the Immortal Carver (/sake-er/)

A Chthonic and ascended mortal

Profile and Followers

Sacre the Immortal Carver is the sacrilege god of decay, parasites, and murder. He is characterized as a driven, stoic, and unflinching figure, with a deep hatred for all those who have divinity, and a passion for the decay of everything the gods have built.   Sacre is rarely depicted due to the fear of incurring his wrath. When he is depicted, he is often a pale skinned man with dark features. He wears nothing besides tattered black robes, and is always seen with his black blade by his side. This blade is famous for being behind many murders, and is typically seen slick with holy blood.   Worship of the Immortal Carver is a strange paradox. It is in his teachings that no god is worthy of worship, so his followers do as they are asked and never pray to him or ask for blessings. Instead, they show respect by only trusting in their fellow man, and pursuing an end to all those who praise Deities. This makes followers of Sacre an enemy to all churches, be it Elysian or Chthonic, so they are often very difficult to find, and their temples are essentially nonexistent.   There exist many myths as to what Sacre the Immortal Carver is. Some say he is just as any other god, but most sources say he is an ascended mortal. Because of the murder of many gods, both Elysian and Chthonic, Sacre the Immortal Carver has become the enemy of every Deity and every church. Every Deity would like to see Sacre be destroyed, just as Sacre would like to see every Deity die.   The only Deity we know of that has been killed by Sacre the Immortal Carver is Kylamet the Wyrm God. This is because when the Wyrm God died, he became two Deities, Bahamut the Wyrm King and Tiamat the Wyrm Tyrant. Every other god that has been murdered by Sacre has had their name, worship, and existence forever erased from history. Despite this, many rumor that he has killed the gods of fear, genocide, jealousy, poetry, and prosperity.
