Thevaldin the Anathema is the sacrilege god of madness, panic, and nightmares. It is characterized as not having a personality at all. Its mind is fully alien to all, even the other gods, and its primal force of chaos is matched by none.
Thevaldin is depicted in a different way than any of the other Deities. It does not seem to have a physical form resembling anything known to mortals. Instead, it is depicted as roiling monster made of darkness and ichor. It never inhabits a physical form, and instead its inky tendrils reach out to infect and snuff out anything that comes near. Legend says that if anyone stares too deeply into artwork meant to represent the Anathema, they will begin to hear a laughter emanating from the abyss of its figure.
Worship of Thevaldin is extremely rare. Not many are willing to follow a being of nothing but twisting destruction. Those who do are often hateful and chaotic people, who are already on a downward spiral, and the Anathema is only spurring them on. Instead of straightforward blessing, Thevaldin instead influences unsuspecting mortals in hopes of getting them to slip into its jaws of madness. These influences may range from uncontrollable hunger, rapid and unnecessary aggression, and at its worse, complete insanity. As such, no temples to this Deity exist, at best one may find an extremely devoted acolyte performing unholy rituals for its master. Disturbingly, one can separate a higher acolyte from a lower one through one important detail, the higher acolyte has sacrificed their eyes in order to gaze fully into the darkness of their Deity.
