Rise of the Ornlex

"What stopped the fighting? I’m not sure, actually. I couldn’t tell you what caused Renyr and I to stop. Maybe our limbs ached so much that we couldn’t move anymore. Maybe we’d beaten the hatred out of each other and had nothing left remaining."
- Xeimos
The end of Segoma's reign marked the end of many things. It meant the end of the East-West War of Unis. It meant the end of Segoma's grip over Unis. But, it also meant the end of the Tenth Arcana's adventuring days.   During the battle against Segoma, she inflicted Renyr with her divinity, an act that slowly drove the dragonborn to a deep madness. They say the war goddess smiled before she died, knowing that she helped create one more, lasting conflict among the Tenth Arcana.   Renyr's first subconscious act of war in Segoma's name was a war against the gods, spurred on by a spiteful battle against he and Xeithar over Segoma's divine spark. It was Gurgle who, with the help of King Nordrilark, ascended to godlike status. In the ensuing confusion and still influenced by Segoma, Renyr prepared to deal a killing blow to Xeithar but was impaled by Gwavyn through the back.   But so began another bloody battle, one to avenge their fallen leader. Gwarvyn, Smokey, and Max fought side-by-side in self-defense against the army Renyr amassed, a fight which would have killed all three had Gurgle, now ascended to Vox, not intervened.   It is unknown what happened afterward.

The Four Heads

The Ornlex were originally followers of Renyr, disgraced paladins or those mistreated by their own gods. But after Renyr's fall in the aftermath of Segoma's War, they took it upon themselves to continue teaching Renyr's word. But try as they might, they can never agree, for each Head has its own interpretation.   And so came Eurikles.
