Echo Fighters Hall Building / Landmark in A Quiet Realm - Prostesa | World Anvil

Echo Fighters Hall

The Echo Fighters Hall is not one distinct location but rather several identical ones spread across Prostesa and potentially all of Aohiri. The name is self-explanatory; these guildhalls are dedicated to those specialized in combating Echoes. Shortly after the Crestclaw Guild was established, the guildhalls rapidly spread across the continent in one massive effort to push back the Echo Disaster.   However, in Magstone, the Echo Fighters Hall has quite different connotations. Echo Fighters in Magstone are regarded as rebellious youths who choose to not conform to societal norms. They are rowdy, disruptive, and tend to drag everyday citizens into bouts of chaos just to “mix things up.” Despite defending Magstone from the Echoes, the Echo Fighters of Magstone arguably cause more problems than they fix. Making the distinction between the Magian Echo Fighters and typical Echo Fighters is important, as their involvement in Magian politics has made Magstone more of an important settlement in modern times.   The first Echo Fighters Hall was established in Ustenstead by none other than Albinus Snarlemange Smith XIV, a reincarnation of a former Tenth Arcana member. It was there that the first Echo Fighter adventuring party was created. This was mostly done out of desperation as Albinus needed willing troops to hold off a sudden onslaught of echoes lingering around Ustenstead. It was only after realizing the effectiveness of those fearing for their lives that he realized that other settlements could use a similar form of assistance as well. Albinus notified the Crestclaw Guild, and Julius Crestclaw handled things from there, spreading the influence of Albinus’ Echo Fighters across Prostesa and encouraging others to take up the mantle as well.   In modern times, there are enough Echo Fighters to protect Prostesa’s most major cities. Hopefully, they will be enough to shield the rest as well.
