The Third Eye Military Formation in A Quiet Realm - Prostesa | World Anvil

The Third Eye

The Third Eye is tough to describe by much of Prostesa. Led by Ka’Rak, a dragonborn originating from Xhanei Sands, the Third Eye has dedicated itself to draining the entirety of Prostesa’s magic to fuel the return of a vengeful, forgotten god whose name is known by few. Though the organization’s origin is not well-known, they appear to consist of members from practically every settlement in Prostesa, meaning their reach and influence is wide enough to cover the continent itself. They are considered the Crestclaw Guild’s main concern aside from the Echo Disaster. In recent times, they are considered missing or disbanded.     What is lesser known about them, however, is that they have fought alongside the Crestclaw Guild on multiple occasions. There is a branch of the Third Eye residing in the Twilight Isles that works alongside Claude and the Crestclaw Guild to battle back the Evernight. Ultimately, the Third Eye operates on relatively neutral ground. Despite opposing the Crestclaw Guild, opposition appears to be mostly out of circumstance rather than real malice. Though they show no mercy when outsiders cross them, members of the Third Eye prefer to leave and be left alone.   Because of their crimes against Prostesa, several settlements have agreed to enact a continent-wide lockdown known as The Silence, a controversial and crude decision that has led to discrimination against mages. Under the laws of the Silence, no magic is to be cast so as to not draw the attention of the Third Eye, and those suspected to be mages are to be either exiled or killed. The Third Eye has not publicly made any statements against the Silence itself, but it is known that they often shield or protect those that were mistreated due to the Silence.   Ultimately, the Third Eye is a band of outcasts, individuals that simply could not fit anywhere else and so must carve a place in the world for themselves. And to the world, outcasts are all they are.
