Session 42 - You’re a lizard Franz

Ravenqueensea 4, Noon, Currently at some ruins surrounding a Mythallar
 
NPCs: Morpheus, Hazel, Loki, Azazael, Barnalby, Tremon, Sivor
 
Ask the tree a few more questions about the area. Lizardfolk are to the east.
 
We continue south and see smoke from a recently extinguished fire. Elias sees through his familiar that 2 lizardfolk are eating a barbarian’s leg while he’s alive, looks like they killed his wolf. We charge ahead to try and save the guy.
 
As we charge, Ashe who is following behind alerts us to more coming up behind us. Elias sends his familiar who sees 8 more guys.
 
We continue ahead to save the guy rolling initiative.
 
We easily dispatch the two lizardfolk here. Hyadr knocks the guy out as he was screaming in pain. Everyone runs back the way we came to fight the other 8. Jo stays, cleans the guy’s leg with some water, wraps it in a shirt, and creates a boot for him out of vines.
 
Franz disguises himself as a lizardfolk and starts yelling in common for help. Somehow, most of the lizardfolk are fooled and they lift him up and start trying to carry him to safety.
 
Hyadr loses his rage in embarrassment at missing his attack on himself…
 
Gluum attacked and mistook Frans as an enemy.
 
The lizardfolk start sacrificing themselves to protect Franz, telling him they’ve got him and to run! But it’s all in draconic and he doesn’t speak that.
 
We all get 143 exp
 
 
Hyadr has an idea to get some honey to prevent infection. We use smoke to draw out the queen bee and destroy the hive to use the honey. What we don’t use for him, Hyadr and Jo decide to start making mead.
 
Dirk, the guy we saved (worshipper of Tempus) lets us know about his two party members, Gluum goes off and finds them dead.
 
Dirk doesn’t like magic… We decide to take him to his outpost at the base of the nearby mountain range.
 
Passing through lizardfolk territory to get Dirk home, at least 30 lizardfolk all within 60ft of each other worshipping a king and queen. At least 3 shaken looking guys. There are hanging cages, containing Dirk’s sister and nephew Friedra and Don (short for Donilingus)
 
We decide to attack
Panfyr shoots a shaman. Franz fireballed 13+1 shaman. Hyadr throws a javelin trying to knock the kids cage free, knocking the kid out dying, Jo runs forward using healing word waking the kid up he starts crying despite being told to play dead. Ashe erupts some earth killing at least 12 of them. Gluum attacks the remaining shaman killing them, Elias kills one of the stragglers, Panfyr tries to put the king or queen asleep but fails, Franz tries to polymorph the king but fails, Hyadr runs up to pike the king, Jo faerie fires the king and queen and uses starry archer form to shoot the king, The queen retaliates against Hyadr, Ashe casts moonbeam at the king, Gluum attacks one of the remaining lizardfolk and knocks him prone, Elias kills the other lizardfolk, the one remaining lizardfolk attacks Gluum, The King survives the moonbeam and attacks Hyadr before jumping in the water, Panfyr attacks the queen, Franz uses magic missile, Hyadr throws a javelin at the king underwater then follows in with his pike taking an attack from the queen, Jo uses hallucinatory terrain to make the lake seem toxic to prevent the queen from jumping into the water and hoping to scare the king out of the water, the queen runs into the bushes, Ashe moves moonbeam in the queens direction Gluum kills the last lizardfolk, Elias activates bladesong and approaches, the king attacks Hyadr, Panfyr moves to attack the queen, Hazel guided Franz, Franz used another magic missile killing the queen, Hyadr kills the king.
 
2200 1350 2700 1000 We all get 1036 exp
 
Ashe lowers Friedra’s cage and cuts her free. The kid, Don, his spine is twisted and he can no longer feel his legs.
Ashe slaps Hyadr for throwing the spear knocking the kids cage down, Frieda is very mad at Hyadr for maiming her child.
Elias was able to get Dirk to stand down acknowledging it would’ve been worse without us.
Ashe asks the mom if she would permit her to come back but the culture disallows any magic use.
Hyadr makes a poppy extract for Dirk and Don’s pain
 
7pm ish
We get to the village
Dirk’s wife greets him home. He tells the elder to treat us with respect.
