Session 7: The Scamming Dragon

Ashe takes a lot of damage on her way out but made it with one hit point remaining

We get a long rest in the med bay and finally get a long rest
 
We tell Maggie and Quartermaster what had happened. Mostly Maggie
 
Terren Sozay criminal overlord who owns Elias’ debt who has actually been dead for 10 years. Barrett has been collecting Elias’ debt for years every month.
 
Captain Blackwood has said we are being called the Cultbreakers. Offered to help take down these scammers who are taking advantage of Elias.
She offered to protect Elias’ mother and train Angst.
 
Ashe brought up that Tasha told her Morpheus was alive. She rejected it and got mad. Ended up going towards the tavern.

Esmeralda (Esme) gave Angst a lot of shit for asking for muffins with his milk (since he’s lawful and won’t drink before turning 21 even though no one cares)

Jo follows the Druidic signs with Fran’s and Angst staying a good distance away.
 
Elias didn’t hide well enough so the collector saw that Elias was hiding and confronted him. He sent an sos to Ashe, she distracted him by climbing up his pants… Derek gets knocked unconscious by Elias.
 
Elias signaled us forward
From a cave in the woods some one says ‘ Derek bring me the money’
 
The entity in the cave offered Elias Derek’s place if he offered his head… ‘unfortunately?’ Elias only knocked him unconscious and didn;t kill him
 
After a couple passed threats, we rolled initiative.
 
Although instead of regular initiative Elias decides to by time and kills Derek by slitting his throat and threw the head to the Black Drqgon
Unfortuqnatelyn he wasn’t willing to accept Elias’ allegiance without the head of one of his friends which he wasn’t willing to do. We resume initiative
 
Franz ice knifed the dragon
The black dragon flew over Elias and he got booming bladed
He continued to acid breath Jo Franz and Ashe for 25dmg to jo and Ashe knocking Ashe down and 0 to Franz due to nat 20 w/ super inspiration
Angst atked the dragon w/ thunderous smite
Jo used a her starry form to atk and cured Ashe
Ashe transformed into a panther
Maggie is here and panicked as she realized we were fighting a dragon
Elias moved further into the cave
Franz Ice knifed him and seemed to hurt as he looked to target Maggie
The dragon grabbed Maggie and dashed off
Jo failed to atk him but climbed 10ft up a tree
Ashe reverted her wildshape and threatened him. The dragon dropped maggie
The dm allowed a wand of wonder reaction… it started to rain around her
Elias reaction controlled water to make an ice platform to control her fall and also caved in the entrance to the dragon hoard
Franz atked with fire bolt and missed… ‘so sad’
Dragon moves down to 80ft above the ground
Angst did something…
Jo Climbed further up the tree (25ft up) archer and guiding bolt
Ashe Made a healing spirit healed Jo 2hp
Elias took adv of the guiding bolt to gain adv and add sneak atk to the dmg
Franz climbed up a tree and ice knifed the black dragon
Thanks to the grace of the Dm, Jo was able to Guiding bolt the dragon as it melted and killed it
 
Angst told maggie to stay in the med bay… as that’s where’s she belongs
 
Jon used mold earth to unveil the dragon hoard

Turns out Elias already paid off the debt but they were gonna collect indefinetilely
