The ferris wheel caught on fire from Mr Bucks lighting a cigar as employees tried to get him off the wheel. They used grease to slip him out but the lighting of the cigar caught the grease on fire. The fire was already taken care of by the time we got there.

Angst was able to confirm that Linmer is a Disguised individual actually a wizard pretending to be a Druid.
