Session 45 -

City where the world meets about worldly matters
East and West Pontemundi are run very differently.
 
Morpheus teaches us that the vampire spawn throw up everything they try to eat.
 
Jo tries all the free samples

  • Kabob - meat, probably cucumbers, covered in white sticky goo… a little tart and cucumbery

  • Candy Shop Ardenia Candies - Marzipan - Springly - Potato Candy Hazel loves these candies used to make them with her ‘Mamon’ mother

  • Gondola tours that are booked out 3 months in advance


    • Buildings are dwarven made but there aren’t many dwarves. Buildings are 1000 years old
    Islands are uneven and tall so the buildings are built into the rock
     
    Many people are giving Ashe strange looks and seem very wary of her. The moonelves we do see seem militaristic
     
    Glazed Rose - best inn in town but the owner owes Morpheus a favor so we get to stay for free 6 stories high
    Bellhop doesn’t like how we look but when Morpheus mentions Brutus he lets us in
    Room 101 - Brutus’ room - Guards don’t let us in but we are allowed into the guest room which is hidden behind the Lift
    The In-house (bathroom) has plumbing thanks to the city’s aqueduct
     
    Hyadr asks the elevator guy how he got so strong, guy tells him Onions are the secret… Onion breath is on the horizon
     
    Common bathhouse - we undress and the ladies scrub us down (except for the bottom of Jo’s feet) we get nice robes and all tip various amounts of silver. We get a claim check to pick up our clothes in the morning
     
    Ithilene - A sun elf approaches Ashe excited to see a moon elf and thinks she is nobility since she isn’t militaristic. She is a diplomat, magic-breaker in training.
    Elite force trained to fight other magic users specifically. Here with Galadrian himself - head of military for Calambar - one of the 6 leading cities in other continent - grandmother was a moon elf - some kind of trouble in the other continent, won’t go into detail what the trouble is.
    Specialized against forces of Greatspear in the war - Stood outside while Galadrian met with Aezelbov - wont tell us what they spoke about though
     
    Ithilquist - We all (Jo, Hyadr, Franz, Panfyr, Ithilene) go in on the 500gp bottle. It’s made from Lupples. Tastes like basking in the moonlight
    Elverquist is the counterpart making you feel like basking in the sun
     
    Aezelbov is bothered by the rift because he’s chosen by Mystra - he is the one holding the rift together. Has been for the last 1000 years as a human. He is super old. Magic is keeping him alive. Chances are when he dies the world will die with him. Galadrian’s plan right now is to create a giant Mythil to save the world but it would stop the casting of spells above 3rd level. Also countless people will die including Aezelbov.
     
    Ashe goes to speak to Galadrian of Kalambar representivie of the 6 cities of Calambar - He tells her to talk to the council at 2pm if she really wants to stop the Mythil from happening.
     
    Jo takes first watch, Hyadr takes second with Hazel, she convinces him to take a walk. She tries to convince him to leave the group with her. He declines and she walks off never to be seen again… Ashe is on third watch and hears some guys talking about ‘the guy with the bandages’
     
    Hyadr goes to kick the pull door setting the door on fire. His foot goes through. Jo pulls him out.
    Shenanigans ensue…
    Franz blames the encounter on Galadrian - Brutus sends guys who got slautered by the magic breakers
    We leave the hotel - Panfyr helps Jo get their armor back - Jo takes the opportunity to take some fine dwarven clothes Black and Silver
     
    Brutus - human with a head made of lumps - Morpheus abandoned him on an island with a hag - He was a green hag’s slave for months - Morpheus tells him a location with 10,000 gold but tells him to only take 3,000 (probably a total farse)
     
    We finish our long rest

    Panfyr haggles with the investment guy, testing him further. He passes?
     
    We go for breakfast and eat an Ostritch egg concoction. We have gyro’s for lunch.
     
    Ashe gives the fertile Gith egg to Jo who fashioned a makeshift baby harness to carry it around as well as leathers to protect it on top of the man made iron bands,
     
    Jo asks about a book on raising Gith, chances are Esoterica has them - Buys a book called Dead God that talks about gith culture and Vlaqeth their queen.
     
    On our way to the Council meeting - Daals calls Elias away as a witness as the gold used in the summoning of The Living Flame didn’t belong to the caster.
     
    2pm
    Ashe is able to get us into the council meeting without Elias by namedropping Galadrian.
     
    Galadrian lets everyone know his plans to create the Mythil - We debate him but he stands strong with this being a notification and not a debate.
     
    Any alternate plan must be presented to the council in Enegarnad before the Mythil is created.
