Well That Didn't Go as Planned

by Alanna Fanri

(At this time she still has no memory of her Deepgate Incident)

Since Etcher kept insisting on finding out what this "Nexus" thing is we decided to all go to Deepgate, since apparently that's where this thing is. Entering the Eastern Spire we made our way, it was somewhat easy despite a few complications of rooms closing up. Etcher decided to plug himself into the wires that were just hanging around, smart move on his part. Anyways he ended up shutting down for a bit.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Since no one really knew what to do and we were all just kind of waiting around anyways, the Crown decided to let me know that we've been here before. He was certain that it was familiar to him but the constructs weren't here before. He told me that there was lots of running and destruction along with desperation and he figures it was before this cycle.

The Crown also informed me of something I was not aware of, apparently no one was really aware of... When I became the Catalyst, originally, it required me to give some of myself to create it, enough so it can remain stable and not collapse in it's own newfound sentience. He continued that most of the Catalysts gave up parts they didn't really like. However, when I created the Crown, I gave up good and bad parts so the Crown has more of a balance. I begged for him to tell me what I gave up, what memories he had that I no longer did. Unfortunately he wouldn't tell me anything but it was likely things I was focusing on at the time.

He went on to talk about Jin and Srir (Srot). Before Jin was seeing spells differently and trying to formulate them. apparently we were gods in his eyes and his smugness took hold after quickly learning and his view that science is still more impressive than manipulating things we don't even care to understand.

My surprise came at the Crowns mention of these two and I wanted to know if I was missing anything dealing with either of them. The Crown said that both Jin and Srir were facinated with the arcane but rather than despising it, Srir embraced it, causing the two brothers to have several large disagreements that nearly resulting in killing everyone from their lack of control until Srir was told to leave. With his spiteful dismissal, Srir ravaged entire countries and deemed himself king. So we made a truce to respect each others territory. After he managed to tether himself, he was pulled with us when we left. The Crown believes that while Srir might have hated Beckett, he still held respect for us as colleagues.

-----------------------------------------------------------
I tried to let the group know some of this, but they were kind of focused on getting Etcher "turned on again" After several horrible attempts the poor Warforged lost his head, due to we'll say 'electrical failure' or lightening spells. I guess though Hawkwheat was able to talk to Etcher in some way, must be a cleric thing or something. I guess with this Etcher told Hawk to not activate the Nexus but to turn on the Spires.

So with that we went upstairs and after some difficulties and a series of unfortunate events, well... we activated the Spire. Though upon doing this, every single Warforged in the place woke up. Now they're all headed who knows where.

Exiting the Spire we met up with a Fellow Whitestrider Member, Rohese. She informed us all that Kildan was killed at the Whitestriders Head Quarters. She also said that Namir Mirau usurped control of Stonefort. Upon hearing this news, I returned to the Head Quarters, telling the group I would be back.
