We take transport to Holland and go to Amsterdam. We get some dinner - Indonesian. Have a night on the town. Head out in the morning. We visit Inspector Willem Visser to get information - we have a letter of introduction. He's quite fancy-looking. He notes that the event was very surprising. We collect his personal effects and inspect the body. They note it's quite strange that his housemate was murdered out back. He left a comment in the guest book - I have to nothing to declare but my insanity. He notes that he was at the hotel Crapsnapolski (krasnapolsky). We go to the morgue - we look at the body - actually I look at the body because it's gross and a little meh. nothing sus. Dudley notes he died from a gunshot wound. We wanted to take the gun, but he won't let us. However, we can investigate the gun.
We get a suitcase with some clothing and small sum of Dutch currency. Piece of paper. Also address for some Nicholas Shavenhaven (scheveningen) - Oude Kerkstraat 40, Amsterdam. Nothing sus about the Revolver. We read his paper. There is also some instruction on how to get to an unnamed location Sint Janskerkhof, AM 3rd row, 8th from end. Things to investigate -
Alhazred, Prague Court, Leng, gem (jade), Wolfsdonken,
We head to the library. We find nothing. We head to the graveyard. Graveyard is hedged and there are no houses around. Tombstone reads - mars kamer 1381-1448. The corpse of a large bird is half-buried in the soil nearby. We go back to the library.
We find that the Slaughter Strikes Again (Slachter Slaat Weer Toe) - in the newspaper. In the British newspapers, they were making fun of the Dutch police for not being able to catch the Amsterdam Ripper.
We visit Shavenhagen - We ask him about Belvediere. He and his friend de Winter knew about his ancesters. They came and asked about a book - his great great great great Allard von Shavenhaven wrote. His gggg gf was a respected historian known about 16th century artist Hieronymous Wolfsdonken. Allard married well and worked at many universitys. He found some papers left to Allard from a friend Albrec Marskramer. Marskramer was a bad man. Shavenhaven did some investigating - told Belvidere where it was located. Over a year ago. Maybe two.
The two knew about Marskramer. And about his gggf. He only published one volume of work. The book was called - there is a copy in the National Archive. In the study there is a hidden panel. We find the hidden catch and the bookcase opens. The mechanism is now stuck open. We crawl into the antechamber which is tiny and in the house next door - 7 feet wide. Dead things. Build in table = has a narrow medieval chair. Pewter inkstand. On the table is the remainder of a thick tomb. The cover has been chewed off - cover says AM and includes that inscription from earlier because the MM screwed up. Albrec Marskramer. He notes that there is - a psychic on 3rd and blah blah - Zelda. We discuss a few different magical things. He's such an interesting dude.
