We head off to Thursk via train. We ask the way to the bank. We ask to talk to the manager about the crimes happening. We ask about the murder of the family in Hull. We want to talk to Ms Palmer. The bank manager calls her in. We talk to Ms Palmer. She doesn't remember him saying anything specific. We ask if he was wearing shoes. She notes that he had a pendant over his tie. She thought it was smallish, not from this country, small green stone. Feels oriental. We recommend that she get some extra protection
We take a car to the estate sale. We ponder a lot. It's pretty deep. There are lots of pieces. Who is on first. Who is on second? Who is Alhrazed? What book did he have from Prague?
We travel back to Sleetmore. It's the day before the day before. Later in the day. There are books they are selling and not selling. We receive a huge list of all the books. There are two that are interesting - one by Scheveningen and one by Wormius - the Necromonicon -- a translation by Abdul Alhazred. We try to bargain with the auction people to stay on site and guard the books. We get her to agree to let us stay in the library.
Dwight is going down cellar, Eula stays in the library. Reginald really wants to do some recon to the kitchen where they are keeping the auction items.
There are footsteps coming up the stairs. Multiple footsteps. Reginald runs into the hallway. The housekeeper, Raymond, and Vanessa come in with food. Mrs. Gubbins the housekeeper. There is some auctioneer staff on the items. Reg tries to sweet-talk the staff. We have dinner. We can register to bid on the auction items and the Necronomicon.
We're going to take watch - but not Dwight. If we are in the sitting room of the house we can watch the kitchen and the main front door.
