I used some articles from the A document that changed the course history category as my reading challenge list. Have a look. Shortlist and reading challenge list here:
Had a great time this June. I decided to take a bit slower, in preparation for Summer Camp of course, but i also decided to participate in a couple of Unofficial Challenges and i'm fairly proud of the two article i wrote.
The first Challenge i participated in this month was BasicDragon's Botanica challenge, which you can find here:
In other news, i'm still working on a few continental maps, which depending on the prompts we get and the articles i decide to write, i'll probably prioritize one over the other, so readers have a visual of the geography.

Ahlan wa sahlan, my dear friends! Its time again for another tale from #Aransha. Summercamp is coming and the desert is hot as usual. Take a seat in the shadows, have an iced tea and lets recap june!
Well, everyone's excited by now, right? So am I! I finished my pledge (you can read all about it here: Tales from Aran'sha - Summercamp Edition
I even managed to write down some article ideas as additional homework - if you want, chime in with some comments, really like to hear from you!
I can't wait to see what incredible articles the community comes up with.
New Subscribers!
I've had an incredible influx of subscribers this month that left me speechless - over 20 new wanderers follow Aran'sha now for a total of 63! Thank you all so very much - I'm excited to have you join me and you're a huge part of all this.
Well, Aran'sha won another unoffical challenge - Food, glorious Food!
My rewrite of Ria'm was seemingly just the right flavor for the judges of this wonderful challenge. Check out the winners HERE.
There were so many awesome and delicious entries in this, I was completely blindsided by reaching first place. I recommend you check out all the winners, especially Mochis Desert Cuisine (which was an incredible boost of inspiration for me).
Lastly I want to mention a personal runner up of the match from Blue Fairy 74 with Moon Soup - just an incredible article!
Okay, this is a rough one, I decided beginning of the month to do all three challenges. But (yes, there is always a but..) I was on vacation for a week - so time was already short. Luckily, the same article turned out to fit for Show your colors and TuneJune, I only have to finish it. I'm late on Botanica, but not too worried, I can do this!
So here is what I'm gonna enter (I will update the links once the articles are available and send out notifications):
Botanica by BasicDragon - Not quite decided yet, but I will update it asap Show Your Colors by Those2nerds - Kaharan Bellydancing TuneJune 2024 by Tillerz - Kaharan Bellydancing
Tales from distant lands...
Come closer, my dear friends, for I have wondrous stories to tell. Each month this segment will show you new distant lands to visit. This month we will make the journey to magical Uclandia (written by the wonderful Dragonquillca, a fellow WAWA nominee). But dont take my word for it, take it from Dragonquill herself:
Uclandia is a land where magic weaves through the very fabric of existence. This low-tech, enchanted continent brims with unique creatures, mysterious races, and otherworldly beings that defy imagination.
Born from the whims of divine Goddesses and shaped by the meddling of capricious Gods, Uclandia's history is as tumultuous as it is rich. The land is ruled by an unstable mix of imperial greed and unchecked ego—until now.
You still haven't heard? SUMMERCAMP! Prompts over prompts - and I cant wait to start!
See you next month with new tales from Aran'sha! And if you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to dm me or leave a comment - I'd love to hear from you!
How much LORE can we drop in a single article? A lot. A bit of Truth as it Billows Through the Branches.
Well to start things off, I wanted to write about music and the role it plays in the world of the Great Tree! Tillerz really got my going on this, like full throttle, engine overheating and coolant dripping from every gasket we can find type of going. So, that being said. This article is one of the single biggest lore drops I got right now. #UnofficalChallenge, #TuneJune
To anyone who has read a good amount of the Great tree and it's manuscript (seriously thank you, I love you all for suffering through all this <3) Music as it is in the story holds an unique effect for magic and how it operates. Music is the magic of the world and for a good reason. My name on the site is a bit of pun to myself, but! Let me tell you The Reason Why!
I am excited to present you all the article that is way more blatant about the lore and what is actually happening. For anyone who is wondering what the "Shadows" are, I'll give you hint; there are Eight of them. With the original four gods of the world lost, only one Monarch to remain.
With that, a bit more personal news. After a long conversation with a few good friends when they found out about this project, they told me a few opinions that resonated with me. So, with that, they asked me why I am putting out a metric load of content out to the ether expecting no response? Well, I have a story to tell and thats all I want. They told me this, if you like it enough, if you believe in the work enough to have enough work to fill many thousands of pages of traditional books, then you see a worth to it?
Well yeah, I have a story and a world to share. So that means there is an intrinsic value to it? I would think so? Well, why don't you at least put yourself out there? I am planning on publishing (self or otherwise) the books I am writing at some point, maybe an artbook if I'm brave enough. But, they really made an argument to me that I should see if anyone would be willing to support my creative endeavors, and I suppose I couldn't argue too much. I have put hundreds of hours of work into my world and artwork thus far.
So in a very wordy, very much trying to convince myself that my work is worth supporting. I set up a Ko-fi page where if you feel like supporting my project, you can. I'm not saying you need to, but it would be very much appreciated! I am trying to gauge how much interest there is in the world of The Great Tree before publishing anything. I also linked my Instagram page, which acts more as a repository for all the artwork I have made that doesn't have a home in an article yet.
So without trying to sound annoying, or like I am begging for attention or support. Here you go: https://ko-fi.com/thereasonwhy3312, and https://www.instagram.com/thereasnwhy
I appreciate all of you! The amount of positivity and feedback I have gotten from WA has been amazing. Honestly, I didn't see my project lasting this long, but I just feel like enough of you enjoy the content that I want to keep going.
Hey all! I did a lovely warmup for Tillerz' #TuneJune that I hope you enjoy!
The Low Man's Dance originates from the necromantic traditions of the Jhoutaioan Mar'rianians. It's a sung from weaver to woven, as though from mother to child.
