His full name is Atyn Yn Daza El-Daula Balualfyn El-Sali (Atyn son of Daza El-Daula (meaning Servant of the Light), SilverOak "the Just".

Background

Atyn was the eldest son of Daza El-Aula and Apura, he has a younger sister called Masul. His father was a famous businessman and benefactor at the royal capital, and her mother descended from a long sedentarized Desert elf tribe. Atyn's father managed to get an office at the Royal Court and later in his life he became a staunch opposer of some of the policies of the Grand Vizier Araneth. Situation and animosity escalated between both to the point that he was imprisoned by the Grand Vizier and at the beginning of the rebellion against the Grand Vizier, his mother took arms and left the two little boys under the custody of their paternal grandfather, Ephiel. Sadly,Atyn's mother. Apura, died fighting at the battle of Craven's Reach 50 years before the arrival of Yuya and his friends in Unhellion. So from then on, their grandfather was the one who took care of them until his death.

Events before the arrival of Yuya

Some 25 years before Yuya's arrival the two orphan youngsters continued to work on their boticary/ magical potions shop that was owned by their grandfather. Atyn also began to meddle in politics, as he joined the White Lotus Association, a clandestine resistance group to the Grand Vizier, which gathered information for the rebels and sabotaged government buildings. Atyn was an informant, reporting to the organization on the movements of troops, royal guards, and officials loyal to the vizier within Ymhilean.

Later his sister would also join with the same role. They also stored some weapons for the Rebellion in their house and their workplace. Soon Atyn began to build a network of contacts and friends who supported the rebellion and who would later be of great help to him. It is said that the White Lotus organization met in underground places such as basements of houses and even areas close to the main sewers. Two of the friends that Atyn made were Anur and Oridriell. the descendants of the famous polymath Farynn Almayz. The Almayz family was secretly a very important supporter of the rebellion and the restoration of the King's power. This connection was also facilitated, in words of Atyn himself due to the fact that the Almayz and his family were related via his mother's family.

Atyn's role during Yuya's quest in Unhellion

This was the overall situation when in 627 AP Yuya and his friends arrived at Unhellion on a secret mission issued by the Seris Emperor. , Atyn and his sister were one the first friends the adventurers made on their mission, and it was Atyn who introduced Yuya to the Almayz brothers.
When the inhabitants of the capital rose up against the tyrant after news of the defeat of his armies at the battle of Ba'ynn, the White Lotus was one of the organizations that began spreading chaos in the city, hunting down bureaucrats and noblemen loyal to the Voice of the King. Atyn and his sister, as members of the organization, ambushing the royal guard in some of the narrow streets and alleys of the Grand Bazaar until the rebellion ended with the murder of Araneth and the people of Ymhilean opening the gates to Prince Lothiel and the rebel army. Atyn celebrated the victory with a banquet with his friends, both old and new and after these events he continued to send letters to Yuya until the latter's demise, and after that to Nelli and Eäviël .
He and his sister were generously rewarded by the king and prince and were even offered the chance to inherit their father's position at court, but he turned it down saying:

I have seen what politics can do to people, I only wish to live the rest of my life in peace, happy with my family and friends, the only thing I ask of you, your majesty, is that the good name of my father and my family be restored.

Rest of his life

Atyn and Masul continued to run their grandfather's shop. They have not yet married anyone, although since the Revolt against Araneth Atyn has begun to have feelings for a young desert elf bodyguard named Amarah (and she seems to reciprocate but neither has taken the step yet).
The business continued to prosper and now Atyn's shop is one of the most famous in the city and the Grand Bazaar. But their adventures do not end here, they even have some relationship with Yuya and his friends again, although indirectly. And it is that during the War of the Great Call he took part in the final battle at (where he was wounded in a leg) and where he also fought alongside Yieshi (Yuya and Nelli's eldest son) as well as Nicanor (Crisanthos'son) and Alcaeus (one of Flavius and Eäviël's sons) who, as half elves, answer the call to fight in this great war.

Personality

Atyn's personality can be described as outgoing and fun. Atyn is usually shown to be a very friendly person, even with people from outside, who arouse his curiosity every time they come to his store to buy, he always tends to ask them things about their respective countries.
Atyn can also be somewhat mischievous and playful, generally he likes to play pranks or sabotage in some fun way the intentions of her competitors in the potions business. Although when it's time to get serious, Atyn is usually responsible with the projects or missions entrusted to him.
He may seem absent-minded at times (actually, he is quite absent-minded at times) but many other times he does it on purpose and this disconcerts both friends and enemies and has served him well in not attracting the attention of the authorities and the competition who normally tend to underestimate him.

Likes and Dislikes

Atyn hates hot-tempered people and people who abuse their power. That is why he decided to join the White Lotus to take down the Grand Vizier and avenge the death of his parents. As for food, Atyn loves sweets, especially the typical sweets of the Sun Elves as well as the sweets he buys in the Foreign Quarter, especially those from Seria. On the other hand, he cannot stand spicy food, unlike many of his compatriots, so he usually avoids going near the food stalls in the market.

The first is his sister Masul, his "other half" as he likes to say, since they have a similar personality and tastes, and they get along perfectly. Since his parents and grandfather died, Atyn has always tried to protect his sister (to the point of not telling her that he was a member of the White Lotus until a long time had passed because he believed it would be dangerous for her). But today it seems rather the opposite, that it is Masul who takes care of him.
The other pillar, the magical creature, is Sparkles, his Ilidari.He was his mother's Ilidari and she wished that if she died in combat, the creature should no go to the heavens with her but it should remain on the mortal realm taking care of her two sons, and that's what the cute magical flying lion has been doing since. Because of their time together, Sparkles has developed some of his owner's personality traits, being a joker, very friendly and also serious when the situation calls for it. In fact Sparkles was usually the one who did the spy work for the White Lotus and then reported to Atyn.

Sparkles is also very useful to Atyn because he usually flies around the Grand Bazaar running errands (and spying on the prices and customers of the competition).His company and affection are priceless for both Atyn and his sister, who go out of their way to care for their pet, who is in reality, as in many sun elf families, one more member of the family.

As it has been said, Atyn and his sister became very good friends with Yuya and his other four friends/companions during their quest in the Kingdom of Unhelion , and although they didn't see each other again their friendship always remained, and also outlived some of the members of the gun, it was this fond friendship that allowed Atyn to have such good relations with the descendants of some of these heroes when they arrived to Unhellion.
