We defeated peoples and creatures you can't posibly imagine and after all those years, i'm one of the few that can tell you that that wasn't a dream, what we did, what we saw, was all real, not a fary tail. I've lost so many friends on the way, crossing snowed mountains, killed in battle... an statue hasn't been erected in my honor, not even in the village where i was born, but the glory and the memory of what we did... will live forever, boy. But let me finish saying that when I die, I wish not to be simply remembered as a soldier, for the glory I earned in battle, but also for the good deeds I did for others. That is what moves me. There is no other adventurer like Chrysanthos, son of Nikias. Fomer soldier, farmer, miller, even a cunning diplomat if he wants. Crysanthos is renowned across the lands of the center of the continent of Teria. His skills with the sword and spear are famous through the land as well as his usual bad temper!!. If you want a brave swordsman at your side to help you complete your quest, this is certainly your man!

Personal history
Born in Koura, an small village near the city of
Evergetia , son of a soldier called Nikias, who served under Magas the Great at settled in the region after the conquest. He always wanted to join the army and one day he obtained his father's permision and joined it as a phalangite, a pikemen. After a year of training he was sent to the south with the rest of king Boros's army to the Elven territories, not before crushing a barbarian insurrection south of the Tysallis Sea. He then participate in the crossing of the famous Alirian Mountains. Following that he took part in a campaign against the kingdom of Morythia and took part in the famous battle of the Lappyan Forest being almost killed.
After the Althissian War, his last war as a phalangite, he joined the select Shield Bearers regiment and participate in various sieges. He was fighting in one of them when he recieved the news that barbarian hordes had crossed the frontier and had ride his village and killed his wife and son. A terrible loss for him.
Battle of Chrisphis between the Kingdoms of Steplia and Silvania (571 AP) the last great battle that Crysanthos fought as a pikemen and the decisive battle of the Althissian War.
After his retirement he worked in his plot of land in the conquered territories . He also married an elf woman called Poppa and together they had a half elf son, Nikanor. But the memories of the past about his killed former wife and son haunted him and he started to drink and behave stupidly, causing his wife to take their child and return to the elvish towns in the forest. After that he worked as a miller too and finally his desire to help others and to experience combat again made him joined the adventurers guild when he met Yuya and his friends and joined his group and together they sought for quests all over Teria.
Education
Due to his life in the army since he was a young boy, his education is very limited in comparisson with other Oronai colonists in Brire. He is able to read and write and to recite some verses of The Siege of Dorstulon, the city of the Ten Walls
Employment
From age 16 he joined the army of the kingdom of Steplia as a pikeman taking part in the campaigns of Boros the Conqueror in the Elven territories. When he was 35 he was apointed to the famous Shield Bearers regiment of the Army of Steplia. In this regiment he took part in the sieges of Attlonia and Sagos storming the city walls with his comrades. His last duty on service was to accompany the King's funeral carriage on his last procesion to the Shrine in the city of Evergetia where his body lies till this day. After that he was discharged and given a plot of land to farm in the new conquered territories.
There, after founding a new family he worked as a miller and finally as part of the adventurer's guild.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Aside for what he did in the army his greatest accomplishments happened after he joined Yuuya and his friends, first recovering from the Sorcerer Bugasil the so called Mirror of the godess Tyr, who was believe to hold extraordinary magical power and returning it to the Chief priestess of the Goddess in Banias, home of the guild. From this sorcerer they discorvered that another sorcerer, even more powerfull, called Andritheon had formed a huge army of goblins with dark magic and was trying to conquer the southern territories of Teria, and the Kingdom of Steplia and the Elvish-Oronai kingdoms where the first targets. Because of his past he was sent by the King of Brire to the court of Steplia where he convinced its king to form an alliance. Together alongside the Adventurer's guild they storm the fortress of Andritheon and destroy the goblin army and saved the realms. Finally his moment of glory came two years later when a barbarian king from the west, convinced by his master sorcerer, heard about the relic of the Mirror of Tyr and tried to besiege Banias . There, Crysanthos alongside his friends, the rest of the guild and around 90 oronai veteran soldiers defended the town heroicly until reinforcements arrived commanded by the king of Brire himself.
He and his friends were consider heroes afterwards and an statue was erected in the village in their honor. And he was granted a pension and a splendid house by the king although he refused to abandon the guild and his friends

He always felt really sad when remembering his slaughtered wife and son by the barbarians.

Motivation
Crysanthos saw the adventurers guild as a way to earn money, and as a way to fight again for something remarkable, as a miller those years he began to dispite the commoners live. Also the office of adventure is a way of redeem himself and to do something good for others after all those years behaving stupidly and its also a way of mantaining his family... if they decide to return again from the forest!.
Likes & Dislikes
Crysanthos tends to be very sociable man. He likes to meet fellow oronians of his age as he reminds him of his past. His attitude about half elves is very positive as he is the father of one of them. His attitude about elves is good too but it depends on the race of elves. He still has some kind of hatred to those belonging to the tribes he fought against and almost killed him. On the contrary he greatly admires the Moon Elves since the time of Boros's campaign, even marrying one of his kin. He has an ambiguous attitude towards the Blatians, he praise them for his army and their civilized institutions but he despise them because in his oppinion they look down upon the Oronai.
He hates bullies and extremely arrogant people and dark magicians.

Crysanthos is extremely loyal to his friends and a brave warrior. He is the brute force of the group although he can be really smart, knowing exactly when and how attack an enemy, something expected of a former soldier of the Royal Steplian army. His skill with the spear and sword is unmatched in the adventurers guild. Because of his past years of services in the Steplian army, he can somehow be a nexus between Steplia and Brire as it was shown when he was sent as an ambassador to the king of Steplia.

Crysanthos Sounds like a very interesting person, but I want more! I want to hear a lot more about his dark past and dead family! How did this affect him, really? How was he able to overcome this, or maybe he never did? You have a lot of potential to expand on this, even on the expense of his achievements and other dry details. Great article!
