TBDHomework Week 2: Frontier
1. Theme Preparation: Frontier
There are two primary physical frontiers in Wyrring; the area to the South, including The Barrens and The Great Expanse, as well as Ostrangard to the East. Currently there is very little reason for people to travel to The Barrens, as many view it as a backwater full of various aggressive tribes. However, the areas to the southeast of Aedan, which is immediately adjacent to the Barrens, is very fertile farmland. As Ostrangard is a fallen kingdom, it is very popular amongst both treasure hunters and those who wish for free land. Additionally, many traders wish to travel through Ostrangard to areas further east, such as Sylvia and the Dwemni Empire to sell their wares.Other minor frontiers include areas across The Brightwater to the west of Wyrring and the Underdark.
The invention of the kinetic engine has opened up a whole new frontier of technology. This engine has brought magic to the everyday person, and it's caused an explosion of invention.
2. Feature Hint: Maps

TBDHomework Week 3: Relics
1. Theme Preparation: Relics
Several ideas for relics:- Estalia: Likely keeps A LOT of public records, including meeting minutes, surveys, and data.
- The Grand College: Powerful magical items.
- Sylvia: Sylvia relics typically are either currently living things (i.e. "this tree is 1000 years old"), or are trophies taken from hunts in Silvain's name.
2. Feature Hint: Going Back in Time
I've started my first chronicle!3. Extra Credits for Seasoned Worlds
I've added a couple images for landscapes.4. Submit your Homework
TBDWeek 4: Communication
1. Theme Preparation: Communication
The most consistently used form of communication in Wyrring is through people themselves. Whether it's the use of diplomats, the delivery of letters through services such as the Royal Aedian Mail Service, or secret messages carried by operatives, most communications between organizations and people require face-to-face meetings. With the invention of the Kinetic Engine, this speed of communication has increased, as dirigibles can travel significantly faster than a horse.Other options for those preferring to keep the receiver at a distance include:
- Spells such as Message, for those magically inclined
- Southern Sylvia Elves use a combination of bird calls and whistling arrows to communicate between groups
- Estalia has a robust, official communication system which is typically used between organizations, as it is more reliable than a courier
2. Delicious Dictionaries and Wonderful Whiteboards
I previously had language articles for each area which had a list of common terms and language components for each region. I didn't realize there was a dictionary option, but I've now moved the terms from a written list into the dictionaries.3. Extra Credits for Seasoned Worlds
I ended up reading many of my older articles when I was sorting them.4. Submit your Homework
