Fahgjal or Grippig
Basic Information
Anatomy
Grippigs are semi-large Griffons. Not particularly tall but the heaviest of the Griffons for their size. They are about the size of a large boar and share many similarities with them. They are brown and grey in color, though they have large yellow...sacks coming from their cheeks. They have short and stubby legs, and are covered in fat and muscle, making them great to eat.
Genetics and Reproduction
Grippigs will gestate for three weeks and eggs will hatch after four, though they will lay 4-8 eggs at one time.
Growth Rate & Stages
Grippigs will leave the nest at two months old, though they will never leave the herd, and they grow to full size after just six months.
Ecology and Habitats
They can be found all over the grasslands and river valleys of Eastern Tul, and will eat anything they can but mostly graze on grass.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They will eat anything and everything but typically in the wild eat grass.
Biological Cycle
They can live to be 10-15 years old but usually don't make it past 5. Like I said, they are quite tasty.
Additional Information
Domestication
The domestication of Grippigs is different than that of all other Griffons. Unlike the other Griffons that were domesticated to be pets and companions, Grippigs were domesticated to be food and livestock.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Grippigs have a great sense of smell but not much else.
