Cawlkun or Raccrow
Basic Information
Anatomy
Cawlkuns are smallish in size, being around the size of a house cat. They have long striped tails and are colored in a gradient where there heads are black and their tails are a light grey. Their black feathers upon closer inspection have an almost rainbow hue to them.
Genetics and Reproduction
The gestation period for Cawlkuns last four about three weeks and there eggs also take around three weeks to hatch.
Growth Rate & Stages
Cawlkuns leave the nest two months after hatching and are fully grown after five.
Ecology and Habitats
Cawlkuns, while often wild creatures, are not often seen in the wild. They typically are found in cities and town where they pick through trash and steal food from people.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are meant to eat insects and seeds but living among humanoids they mostly eat food and pick things from the trash. They also will steal food from people in they can and love to grab any shiny objects they see.
Biological Cycle
Cawlkuns can live for quite a long time, typically anywhere between 25-30 years.
Additional Information
Domestication
Raccrows are not typically domesticated but can be and actually make for great and very intelligent pets. They also make great familiars for spellcasters, especially those focused on death magic.
Average Intelligence
They are extremely intelligent, able to use tools, plan, and even understand simple physics like water displacement. They can also mimic humanoid voices and sounds better than any other Griffon, though they aren't as known for it as Parracats or Cockitties.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
While they have normal senses Cawlkuns are quite intelligent and are very attracted to shiny objects.
