Avuljon or Courrian
Basic Information
Anatomy
Courrians are thin and kinda scary looking creatures. They have long bendy necks and slender bodies with two large wings on either side. They are grey or light brown/tan in color. They are one of the largest known griffons, being around the size of a large dog and weighing between 50-75 pounds.
Genetics and Reproduction
Courrians gestate for four months and their eggs will hatch after five.
Growth Rate & Stages
Courrians will leave the nest after a year and are fully grown after two.
Ecology and Habitats
They can be found all over the desert and plains of Eastern Tul and can often be seen flying high in the air in search of recent kills in order to swoop down and steal it for themselves.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Courrians are known to only eat carrion.
Biological Cycle
This species typically lives for around 35 years.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Courrians have an amazing sense of smell and great eyesight. They use this great sense of smell to smell out corpses and recently killed animals that they feed on.
