Targhir or Kiwitty
Basic Information
Anatomy
One of the smallest of the Griffons, Kiwitties are also notable for their inability to fly. They have small needle like beaks they use to pick at small insects. They have a dull brown colored body and two very tiny wings that stick out from their back. They are quite energetic and about the size of a teacup pug.
Genetics and Reproduction
The gestation period of Kiwitties last around three weeks before they lay and egg that takes another three weeks to hatch.
Growth Rate & Stages
They grow extremely fast, being able to leave the nest at only two weeks and being fully grown after four.
Ecology and Habitats
Kiwitties live on the forest floor on Zirott Island. There they hunt small insects and have no natural predators to fear.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Kiwitties eat exclusively insects. Domesticated Kiwitties can eat bird feed but it has to be a special kind rich in protein.
Biological Cycle
Kiwitties live relatively short lives for Griffons, only living for between 3-5 years.

Domestication
This species has been domesticated though are quite rare. Their lack of ability to fly makes them less popular but also a great choice for first time Griffon owners.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Kiwitties's have no notable senses as the island they are native to has no natural predators and an abundance of food.
