Once simply an administrative body of a select few democratic nations based on treaties and trade deals known as the Aquillan Seas Trade Union, the Aliance of Democratic Nations swiftly grew to encompass almost every democratically governed nation on Errack. Defence treaties between nations joining the ADN and those already existing within became a non-negotiable requirement to join its ranks.
With the expansion of this organisation, so too grew its military power. As such, each year a review of every nations standing army is conducted and resources are shared to develop those found lacking in comparative capacity or capability for their area of influence.

Organisational structure

As the ADN grew in complexity with its ever expanding agreements between naitions, it was soon realized that a central headquarters for the aliance would be required. This central headquarters would then be expanded upon with satelite offices stationed in each nation for dimplomatic relations to be conducted within.

Headquarters

Locked in a geostationary orbit above Errack, speciffically above the Gymirian sea, the ADN's HQ is a large space station. From onboard said station, the ADN is able to organise and delegate it's personell and equipment effectively.


Armed forces branch

Trans-atmos Navy

Since the fall of the Intico Control Facility, traditional transport options became significantly more risk intensive. New methods of transport where required to safely and swiftly maneuver people and cargo alike. Additionally, armed support vessels like carriers and amphibious warfare ships became less effective due to their limited range, cost and low survivability of anything deployed off-ship.
Thus, the Trans-atmos Navy was formed, enabling ADN forces to deploy anywhere on Errack at rapid pace with precision and ample support via ships stationed temporarily in low-orbit or the utilisation of ADN allocated Valkyrie network satelites.

Space elevator and launch stations

Across Errack, multiple launch stations are protected and utilised by the Trans-atmos Navy. Acting as both service docks, launch stations, these locations often see launches multiple times a day across multiple platforsm.

Army

The Alliance of Democratic Nations' Army cobines personnel, equipment, arms and armour into diverse units to enable the most effective response to any given threat at any time.
Units of the Army are divided and routinely rotated between on-planet and off-planet divisions.

Station and ship deployments

Divisions of the Army are stationed onboard ADN Trans-atmos Navy ships as well as key stations, acting as the away-teams whilst the Trans-atmos Navy provide support and transportation duties.


Mega-city defense bases

Each nation and subsequently each mega-city has its own delegation of Army forces stationed to man the defensive wall(s) as well as patrol the local area outside of the city. Inner-city defence is handled by the local police and special forces units.



Seperation of power

Continuing the structure and sensible division of power defined by the Aquillan Seas Trade Union, the ADN is seperated into three branches.

Legislative branch

The Legislative branch of the ADN defines new laws and passes them on to Executive branch to be signed and made official for all members.
It is made up of two members from every nation within the ADN - one from each major political party to ensure fairness of representation.

Executive branch

The Executive branch signs the laws proposed by the Legislative branch into power or rejects them to be amended or scrapped.

Judicial branch

The Judicial branch of the ADN upholds the law as defined by the Executive branch and decides is said laws are consitutional.

A Common language

In ordere to effectively communicate internally, a common language was decided upon. Through which, both civilian and non-civilian personnel would communicate. The language decided upon was ____, as such, it was a requirement for everyone acting in an official manner to be able to read and write at an advanced level - capable of understanding and using a wide range of language. Utilising it flexibly and effecitvely in both social and formal settings.

Single currency

Opting to keep the currency of its predacessor, the Aquillan Seas Trade Union, the ADN still uses Quills and Knots as its formal currency, though they have been re guilded with new designs and security measures to differenciate from the previous variation.
