Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Torrese people tend to find long, dark, straight hair to be of the ideal beauty.
Both genders find tattooing attractive, and in some parts of the Empire, heavy piercing is also found to be deeply attractive.
Gender Ideals
Men should be tall and lean, not overly bulky, with well kept and oiled beards if they have facial hair.
Women should be lithe of limb with large rolling hips, and eyes painted with colors of black or gold.
Courtship Ideals
Courtship for the Torrese depends upon social rank.
Those of lower rank tend to court as freely as any other people, often having several courtships in their early life before eventually marrying, if they do so.
Those of the upper levels of society however are often set into arranged marriages between major families or merchant houses.
