Candidacy

Taegrin was first presented as a candidate for position in the Knowledge Liasion System when he was 11 years old, by the Head Librarian of the Royal Library of the Elven Kingdom. Although Librarian Alta (KLO-7) tends to give recommendations to any Forest Elf who has passed minimum standards, it is rare for the Head Librarian to make note of anyone, particularly at such a young age. However, Taegrin has even established an apprenticeship with the Head Librarian, which will officially commence as soon as he is promoted to KLO-3.

KLO-1

Soon after Taegrin became a Knowledge Liasion officer, he was charged to partner up with a Nymph, the Naiad Mimi Lakes, as she was needing to be reigned in, see Stone Baked Bread for her trouble and reason for suspension. Loyce and family were not happy. It took a private room in the Healing Hut and ale from the Medical Tavern to calm them down enough to agree to a negotiations. We hope Taegrin will be able to help her present herself in a more professional way, at keast when working. See Hero Ceremony for their first observation log mission.

By the time he was promoted, Mimi had been assigned to the Search and Rescue Department in a temporary position.

Teagrin: Why does it seem like my file is more centered around you then me?

Supervisor Sonni Feedback

Taegrin has an intesity and hunger for knowledge that is required for the highest level KLO and will help him with his career pathway in the KLS.

However, he tends to overwrite which, apart from being a headache to read the sheer amount of pages, has given him a tendecy to lose track of the topic he is reporting on. Although he does go back and edit well enough to make the entire article flow, there is obvious derailing in the middle. He has a hard time leaving any information out, and would rather add multiple sections to a growing report, than write multiple reports.

Taegin has a propensity to forget the rest of the world when he is delving into a subject. Being by Mimi's side has helped to alleviate this, and as he matures with others who have prevented themselves from getting Researcher's Disease.

KLO-2

In year 52 of the Century of the Nymphs, 26th Cycle, Taegrin was promoted to KLO-2 as a researcher. He commutes between the University branch and the Royal Library branch, as to be seen as the unofficial apprentice of the Head Librarian there.

While Mimi Lakes was still A KLO-1, Taegrin continued to support her, and still attended her on some of her missions, although her situational depression at the time kept her close to the University. Once she promote to KLO-2, Taegrin was still good friends with her, and continued to help her with her reports, as many as could be seen from those outside of the Search and Rescue Department. Much was not able to be shown to him, being in a different department so the two started lunch meetings as friends.

There is question as to whether Taegrin should be made aware of the Search and Rescue's specialised information, however, the decision has been delayed due to Mimi's most recent missions having to be underwater. It is most likely that until Mimi makes decision on her KLO career pathway that the status quo will be kept. After she decides, however, it is likely that Taegrin will be made aware of the same level of information as Mimi is, within her chosen pathway.

Taegrin: Why is this included? Lunch meetings with you?

Taegrin: I don't know if they are more worried about me or you here...
