Awaiting Go Time

Hoen is a Dryad that's pretty well known around Turien. She has been almost as popular as Reagan for the last few centuries. Although Magenta says that Humans and Beast-kin see her and Reagan as more 'simply historical figures' as opposed to 'current'. That's short-lived races for you. But they still sell stories about her and Reagan (even if they are under historical fiction). I saw the anime 'Researching Poisonous Love' -  I have had every tea they named. I have never turned that shade of purple though.
So, Reagan has stayed at the Universty (KLS headquarters) in order to convince them to go and look for the artifact he is really keen on finding in the Badlands. While there, he is being looked over by a team of doctors and other medical professionals, as well as getting a tracking device inserted into his ear. I am going to Hoen and bringing her a phone with Reagan's tracking device on it. It probably won't work while he is in the Badlands, but should work most other places. And Reagan only agreed to it as long as it's only Hoen that can see the tracking device. That's why I am the one going to see Hoen - he doesn't trust anyone else. They don't know Hoen's 15th favourite tea when eating her 40th sprouted mushroom.

Hoen Time

Hoen: Notes! I love writing on notes ~
Mimi: It's super fun right?
Hoen: Indeed. I write on all of Reagan's notes. He even writes back sometimes.
Mimi: I have people who write to me and back on my notes. And not just because I leave them suspiciously close to their super urgent important admin work
Hoen: Like taxes? I did Reagan's taxes one time. ... Someone gave me sea mushroom spores so that I would never do them again!
Mimi: The really rare ones? That only sprout in one area of the sea?
Hoen: Uh-huh. I still get them every year too ~
Mimi: Oooh. I heard they were close to Turtle Island. I should take Almeta Bearach there sometime

Hoen: Turtle? Are they like Magi-bugs?
Mimi: Um, like a big one? But with a hard shell on their back they can hide in
Hoen: Ah, like JeffersonTrolleyKolopelops.
Mimi: The mushroom Magi-bug you keep as a pet?
Hoen: He has a mushroom shell
Mimi: Kinda. Except, instead of feet, turtles have flippers.
Hoen: There's more than one turtle?
Mimi: Yeah. Doesn't JeffersonTrolleyKolopelops have mushroom Magi-bug friends?
Hoen: No ... I don't think so?
Mimi: Was he always a mushroom magi-bug?
Hoen: Well, he looked like normal forest floor magi-bugs as a baby, but instead of growing a mossy back, he grew a mushroom shell
Mimi: What did you feed him when he was a baby?
Hoen: Just my mushrooms... The most poisonous ones are his favourite.
Mimi: He has taste I see

Hoen: Yes. He has also been staring at Reagan's notes, but, I'm not That mad at Reagan. Maybe another year to two
Mimi: I see ... He hasn't tried to eat any yet?
Hoen: Um, I think I have been able to distract him enough
Mimi: With what?
Hoen: The Giant Flower Mellow. We all play dodgeball.
Mimi: It's kind of like a giant Glocarnii Veroux II.
Hoen: I think it's that but number 1.
Mimi: Neat

Back at the Uni

Hoen can make new plants, or alter existing ones into new species. It's pretty cool and makes a wonderful variety of delicious teas.
She also knows how to not just extract poison, but also medicinal properties and materials from plants. She tried to teach me the difference, but I need to go back. I almost maybe got it. But poison is much easier - it's the taste I look for!

Taegrin: Saved by the father of the thing that tried to eat me, playing dodgeball ... the world really isn't fair.
Mimi: It isn't. The plant is really good at dodgeball.
Taegrin: You lost to a plant?
Mimi: ...
