Welcome to Totalis Terra
The world of Totalis Terra, and the continent of Terra Prime especially, is harsh and unforgiving to the Terran humanoids to endeavor to eke out an existence in opposition to a world rife with hazards, dragons, and vengeful gods. Orbiting binary suns, Totalis Terra is a land of extremes where, rather than daily occurrences, day, night, and twilight are seasonal, with each state governed by gods competing for dominion over the world and using the Terrans within it as pawns in their games.
Terran society is young and poorly established, and because of their hostile world, Terrans are concentrated into a few isolated city-states, the only places where humanoid life has been able to hold back the harsh and deadly landscape of the world around it. Turning to exploration of magic and technology to survive, the great kingdoms of Cor Benefius, Raspitohna, and Iracan have developed the ability to fly over their hostile world using airships and complex magic, and live within the walls of their cities in relative safety - outside of the cities however, the land of Terra Prime is unforgiving, as much more powerful creatures such as ancient dragons, vile demons, and dark gods of the veil reign above the likes of Terran society.
As a denizen of Terra Prime, you and your fellow humanoids fight back against the rise of brutal nature with ingenuity, cunning, and cooperation, all the while assisted or stymied by the whims of the three gods who rule the realm, Kyrøn, God of the Day, Acanthus, God of Twilight, and Veo Kres, Goddess of Darkness. Beyond the hazards associated with each deity and the season with which they are associated, the Dragons of Totalis are many and mighty, and the ancient magical creatures descendant from The World Dragons carve much of the unclaimed landscape up into their regional territories, further holding the expansion of Terran civilization at bay.
While Terrans are well aware of the hazards of their lot in everyday survival, the nature of power still leads those who possess it to levy for more: while alliances of the great nations exist, they are often tenuous at best, and the great cities are not always able to count on each other to resist the threats of the world around them. Politically, King Kieran and the airship-dominant nation of Cor Benefius seeks to further establish its dominion over the skies, whilst Iore and Vaugar Sunbringer, the Twin Monarchs of Raspitonha work to expand the religious power of the The Church of the Sun across the people of Terra Prime. Finally, the reclusive and mysterious mage organization of The Myst Kartan amass arcane power and secretly govern the city of Iracan from the shadows.
