Veo Kres, Goddess of Darkness

Maiden of Crows and Lady of Fiends, Veo Kres is worshiped in Terra Prime as the Bringer of Night, and is thought to hold dominion over the darkest and most vile forces within the continent. Often depicted as a slender, hooded woman with long, elven ears, dark blue skin, and bearing a crow on her shoulder, open worship of the Night Lady is discouraged in the kingdoms of Terra prime, but rarely outlawed entirely, out of fear of the reprisal from the goddess herself.
Often revered more than worshiped in humanoid society, the greatest shrines to Veo Kres are often found in the dark places of Terra Prime, such as the dens of demonic creatures, or those who have turned from the light and wish to bring ill-intent on the Terran populace. Seen as the oppositional force to the Day Lord Kyrøn, the attributes often attributed to Veo Kres are malice, manipulation, brutality, and terror. Ravens and crows are seen as an ill-omen by many Terrans, and sacrifices and offerings are often given in the Night Lady's name as darkness falls on Terra Prime, the Terran denizens begging for her mercy as they weather the horror of the night.
While open worsip of Veo Kres is heavily frowned upon in Totalis, the Lady of Fiends still finds many worshipers in secret and is the patron of many unholy sects and organizations with harful or dark inent. However, worship of the Night Bringer is seen as a risky proposition - to follow her and fail is thought to invite her wrath, and groups of worshipers are thought to invite the attention and malice of her children, the Fiends of Rekostris, especially during the time of Night.
The tenets of followers of Veo Kress are generally as follows:

• Power is drawn from the pain of others - exalt yourself above them and delight in the Night Bringer's favor.
• Act in secret for your own gain - to be revealed by the light is a failue of faith.
• Humanoid life gains favor and power from service to greater creatures.

While worship of Veo Kres is not openly encouraged, many Terrans carry small trinkets with the symbol of a slitted eye in honor of the Night Lady as protective charms.
