Kal'rat III

Kal'rat III is a planet in the Kal'rat System, which is owned by the Sulethis Republic.
The planet was the ancient home planet of the Kaph'tal species. The orbit of this planet lost energy, causing it to lose altitude and heat up so the kaph'tal were forced to evacuate. The entire species now thrives on Tranal Nomads worldships after having given the TN ownership of the star system - who then gave it to the SR. Despite being habitable, it is actually located very far fom the star relatively. As the star is of spectral class A, it is very bright. Due to this, the orbital period of every planet of the system is very large. The kaph'tal measure larger periods of time in months rather than years. With advances in technology, it has become possible for the kaph'tal to revisit the planet using spacesuits. They can sometimes be seen performing ancient traditions and paying respect to those who were killed in the disaster. There are a number of large monuments on the planet.
It is exploited carefully by the TN and SR, who then trade the materials obtained here with each other, careful as to not damage the ancestral homeland of the kaph'tal species.
