Kal'rat III ancient tomb

A very large ancient tomb built on Kal'rat III.   The ancient Kaph'tal pre-space civilization on that planet was comprised of a huge number of nationstates that controlled various areas of the planet. The emperor of one of these died, and their nation constructed this massive tomb in honor of the several massive achievements they have made, leading to the massively increased lifespan of this nation by about 400 years, with much sacrifice to his own life.   The tomb was so large and extensive that it it remains today, despite being built underground and the planet becomming too hot for kaph'tal life. They put a measure of effort into restoring the tomb now due to its historical importance, and many still come to the area to honor and learn about the ancient kaph'tal history, particularly the modern kaph'tal who have now evacuated their planet via various Tranal Nomads (TN) worldships.   The structure was a massive effort to construct. The emperor's body was not placed in it until 20 years after their death just so the builders could finish constructing the room to place it in. This very complex structure has been mapped entirely and all the traps disarmed but they have put security measures in order to stop looters from stealing valuable parts of the structure.   There was one particular room that was designed on the surface specially to take in sunlight at one very specific time of the year. This would cause one highly detailed statue of the emperor to become lit once a year. In the ancient times, the kaph'tal also used this statue to keep track of time on large scales and have invented a very accurate calendar using it.
