Kal'rat II
A gas giant planet of the Kal'rat System, which is owned by the Sulethis Republic.
Like other planets in the system, it was initially owned by the Kaph'tal nationstates of Kal'rat III before being transferred to the Tranal Nomads, and then the Sulethis Republic. Although the former 2 factions never exploited Kal'rat II to any significant degree, the SR has exploited it and the planet is now used as a trading station between the TN (including the kaph'tal) and SR. It produces a large amount of starship fuel, which the SR has decided to split into 2 main sections. Section 1 is used to produce fuel for SR ships and section 2 is used to produce fuel for TN ships. Section 2 is larger than section 1 because of the sheer size of TN worldships. They require a lot of hydrogen fuel.
The planet is quite large, but has a relatively low mass. This is because of its proximity to the star which has caused it to heat up and take up a greater volume. It is due to this low density that the SR gas giant exploitation stations are built at a large altitude and can extract hydrogen from multiple points on the elevator cable. The gas giant takes up a bright yellow colour and is not luminous.
Due to this, it was rarely seen from the sky of Kal'rat III despite its massive size, but the pre-space population of that world perceived it as a god of prosperity due to its large yellow colour. Many prayed to this planet in hopes that it would bring them riches.
