Family Ties

General Summary

After Julie and Sariff leave the area, the group tries to figure out their next move. A moment later, Jadzia tells Una that Marrek wolfed out and they all run back to the mansion to check on things. They find Calluna and Marrek together and while he composes himself there is a knock at the door. Julie and 2 paladins return the looted books and she and Una sit down to talk while Jadzia begins to put the library back in order. During the discussion Julie reveals that Sariff is her father as well and both she and Una are unhappy about the revelation. They attempt to work through some of their other issues but agree to disagree on most and decide to hold those discussions until after they deal with Sariff one way or another in the morning

As night falls, Jadzia searches for a cure for Marrek, Una roams the halls and Calluna and Marrek have a heart to heart talk after Marrek makes a slight adjustment to Kord's Fury. The best option that Jadzia can find is The Witch who lives in Yemgar Swamp and after discovering everyone is still awake, she tells the group that this is their best option for curing Marrek.

The next morning, Julie arrives and together with the party they go confront Sariff in an alley while some of his thugs watch on. Even as Una tries to use familial bonds and feelings in an attempt to get Sariff to leave town, the diplomacy breaks down and he soon attacks Julie. She is protected by Una with a magical barrier making Sariff more unhappy than usual. As Sariff sets himself to attack, a familiar voice booms from the far end of the alley demanding that he leave the city now or face the Temple of Kord with their newly returned leader.

Craig Mason faces Sariff who quickly decides he is outnumbered and leaves with his men. Craig embraces Una and Julie and afterwards Una takes a knee and gives him Kord's Gale.

The party, Julie and Craig all begin to make their way back to the house to discuss what has happened.
