Sypherian
Grandmaster of the Cult of Trezekh
Esteemed scout, former grand master of the biggest death cult in the Sirasion Empire and now the head of Central Imperial Intelligence Section, Sypherian is one of the most well known and prestigious members of the Empire, even being a strong candidate for Empress.
Sypherian is none of these things by accident however, she is widely renowned as one of the most skilled assassins in the Empire and beyond.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Sypherian is thin, even for Sirasions. Though she is by no means frail, her body expertly crafted and tuned to the perfect state for her grim work. She has dark blue skin covered in scars from a number of near escapes. Her features are sharp, yet smooth. Remaining curvaceous yet muscularly toned. In essence, she has what many Sirasions would consider the 'perfect' body type aesthetically and functionally.
Identifying Characteristics
Sypherian notably has a large scar running down her left eye, for this reason she usually wears her Cult of Trezekh eye piece as a visual aid most of the time. She has dark blue skin, which is uncommon among Sirasion females, her skin being especially dark. She keeps her Sirasion dreadlocks shoulder length and neat.
Special abilities
Sypherian is known for her affinity to the shadows and Trezekh, while this grants her no physical powers she does report feeling more active at night or in the dark.
Apparel & Accessories
Sypherian's dress sense is fairly generic, when off duty preferring to remain inconspicuous. She can usually be seen in a green dress covered in runic patterns, a common outfit choice for female Sirasions in the mid to upper class bracket. Otherwise she is clad in her assassination cult uniform.
Her cult battlesuit is tight fitting and jett black, made of a rubbery leather material with form fitted composite plates, coming equipped with all the standard features of a cult battlesuit.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Sypherian was born at a time of great promise for The Sirasion Empire , She was born just two years before the outbreak of the Galactic War, She spent these two years onboard a Sirasion Hab-ship, one of the many star cruisers built to house the growing Sirasion population that was hiding within the realm of Trezekh.
When the news came Siran was being returned to its rightful place in the galaxy there was a mass call to arms. Sypherian's father was drafted into the imperial army while her mother took care of her until her father returned from his tour of duty. Eager to then do her bit, Sypherian's mother took her place in the military, however she did not return.
Sypherian and her father lived on a newly established colony world until Sypherian became old enough to complete her trial of adulthood. Her childhood was fairly unremarkable, she attended the academies like any other Sirasion her age. When she reached the age to take her trial she passed it with flying colours, while she did not beat the battlemaster and took her trial of devotion at a temple of Syros, she passed the final hunt with extreme effectiveness.
Following her trials she joined the Scout division, a branch of the imperial military specifically suited for going ahead of the main battleforce to gather intel and take out key targets with assassination or sabotage. The organisation mostly consists of female members. She served 3 and a half years in the scouts, in this time climbing up the ranks in a relatively short time span. This was an odd time for the Sirasion military, being on such a large scale offensive meant old ideas had to be replaced with new ones, and it was quick thinkers like Syphrian who came up with these ideas. In the scouts Sypherian was an effective leader, showing her capability from the moment she joined up. This caused a lot of tension between her and her commanding officers, but eventually she saw Sypherian as the capable leader she was and had her sent out for officer training. She spent only a year as an officer before she received her vision from Trezekh
They came as dreams first, Trezekh appearing to her at night and offering her cryptic knowledge of his history. Sypherian at first put these dreams down to coninsidense, but as she started to experience these visions in the middle of the daytime she decided to listen to what he had to say. Trezekh Showed Sypherian his own history, how he came to be and what the material universe actually was, she is considered to be one of the few, if only individual who knows the whole truth about the Sirasion Pantheon, though she keeps this information close to heart, though even she herself isn't sure of its factuality. Trezekh continued to show her visions, this time of the future. He showed her a number of atrocities committed against the Sirasion people which persisted for days. Eventually Sypherian begged him to stop, but instead he showed her more grand visions, but this time with a solution on how to stop them. Specific people that needed to be killed at specific points, each one responsible for orbital bombardments on Sirasion colonies later in their careers, criminals who would later on form massive syndicates that would threaten the well being of imperial space.
As much as Sypherian tried to ignore these visions kept persisting until eventually she gave in. Sypherian left her place in the scouts and travelled to the long abandoned temple of Trezekh where she spent several days meditating on what to do, little did she know she had been followed by a number of her former unit, mostly out of concern for her wellbeing, but when she told them what she was planning to do they pledged their loyalty to her. While at the moment it was small, the beginnings of the Cult of Trezekh had been established.
Aside from her initial visions, Sypherian didn't receive any more direct guidance from the shadow god in visual form, but from the moment of forming the cult she was gifted with an intuition like no other, an intuition she described as Trezekh's hand on her shoulder. An intuition so strong it gave her the cult's first target; an Alliance propaganda spreader in imperial space. They not only killed him, but did made an example of the interloper in broad daylight. They were met with mixed feelings, initially praised for their routing out of an Alliance spy, but this praise turned to concern once people realised there was a group of independent assassins running free in imperial space.
Sypherian continued leading such missions, using private assets secured by both her and her few dozen allies. It got to the point they were routing out targets the Empire had been searching for for months or even years. Despite directly breaking laws with their assassinations and an amount of public disturbance, the authorities seemed to be allowing Sypherian and her allies to get away with what they were doing, at some points being captured only to be turned loose again with little explanation. The most likely reason was because they were doing a lot of the Empire's dirty work for them.
Taking out localised problems and being mostly ignored by the local authorities however was starting to get tedious, Sypherian knew there were bigger targets out there, but she and her cult lacked the resources to get to them. She also knew the only way she was going to get some recognition or any help from the Empire was by making her organisation too big of an issue to ignore. She had been through the processes of applications for funding from the imperial military, all of which had been denied and scarcely even read. So she and her cultists hatched a plan, their numbers had grown modestly since the cult's formation, enough now that they could have a chance of pulling off a much bigger operation; the assasination of an Alliance Field Commander.
Sypherian knew this operation would be a massive gamble, she would be willingly leading her forces against the Alliance on an active battlefield, and interfering with Imperial battle lines would surely incur the wrath of the Sirasion commanders aswell. Having found out the enemy commander's location, Sypherian and her squad positioned the cult's only shuttle above the command bunker, dodging through anti aircraft fire they leapt out to the ground below, using their jump packs to slow their fall. Using their skills in close combat they made light work of Alliance forces on the ground, eventually making their way to the commander. They dragged the commander across the battlefield back toward imperial lines, meaning everyone, both Alliance and Imperial saw them out in the open.
Now there was no way the Imperial Military could ignore them. News of their heroic deed, ending the fighting on this war torn world, spread like wildfire throughout the galaxy, everyone began to know of these assassins and their capabilities. The imperial military met with Sypherian in person, signing over a substantial amount of funding for her cult of trezekh, with the agreement their work under the jurisdiction of the Sirasion Empire.
Sypherian gladly agreed, and from here on out her cult only got bigger. specialist vehicles were developed and custom kit and stealth suits were created for them. The cult had now become the deadly weapon Sypherian had envisioned, and now had the resources to carry out the grim will of Trezekh.

As the cult only grew in effectiveness, Sypherian herself took part in a number of major operations against the Alliance. but one day she began to experience a number of distressing visions, similar to the initial visions shown to her by Trezekh. They showed a Sirasion Empire in ruins with a new human leader, a different one to Zurrok , she spent a long time meditating on these visions until the answer manifested before her in the form of the Great Betrayal, where Zurrok's son Terrix, under the corruptive influence of Red Venom, overthrew the Sirasion leadership. Very quickly he sought out to exterminate and cut off Imperial special forces, The Highguard being hit the hardest. There were fears he would come for the cult next, so Sypherian ordered as many of her people as possible back to Siran to hide within the temple, there she waited, plotting with her allies when the time would be right to de-throne this false emperor.
Sypherian made her move when the Sirasion Alliance resistance made the daring assault against Siran, her and her cult playing a pivotal role in the downfall of Terrix.

Sypherian's next big personal mission came when she was tasked with going to meet the infamous galactic terrorist; Regenold . the goal being to use him to wipe out the Krakhanoian species, an ancient adversary of the Sirasions. The Sirasion Empire not wanting to do it themselves due to breach of the Galactic Code. Sypherian made her way to his colossal ship; the Necros, to bargain with him. As the Sirasions arrived, Red Venom, another notorious galactic terrorist, along with one of the Krakhanoians. Both side attempt to convince Regenold which side to choose, but in the end he goes with Red Venom. Sypherian and her allies are then forced to make a swift exit from the star ship, but not before one of the agents leaves a bug in Regenolds meeting room.
Following this, with Regenold's help, Red Venom manages to secure the Omega Lock. Sypherian, having taken the initial failure personally, returns to the Necros to attempt to steal it. However she vastly underestimates Regenold's aptitude, her two agents are killed while she is captured.
Sypherian, for the period of several months, was essentially Regenold's plaything, he kept her in a cage next to his throne on what would have been considered the bridge of his star ship. To Sypherian, this was one of her lowest points. He consistently humiliated her, taunting the Sirasion Empire with a number of pictures and videos of her dressed in silly outfits and forced to perform a series of humiliating tasks. Eventually however, Regenold became attached to Sypherian in the same manner an owner sees their pet. Sypherian, using her manipulative techniques was close to convincing Regenold to let her go, that was until Kline Muldarch and a group of AI agents stormed the Necros and rescued her.
Sypherian gladly went with them to escape the clutches of Regenold. After a daring escape, Sypherian and the agents speak about what happened regarding the Omega Lock. Kline reveals to Sypherian that Regenold has used the power of the Omega Lock to re-open the gate between the material universe and the Corruption, and that she might hopefully be able to convene with Trezekh to find out a way to stop him. While Sypherian herself knows this is not how Trezekh works, she uses this ignorance on the part of the humans to escape back to the Sirasion Empire. She does not however return to the Cult, instead slipping into a state of depression from what felt like to her as a personal failure on a galactic scale.
Sypherian refused to return to the cult, spending the period of several years drifting around the Sirasion core sectors. She would spend her time in a bar until the local community got tired of her or she got tired of them. She put her skills to good during this time, helping local communities to deal with problems such as gangs and organised crime, becoming somewhat of a vigilante.
Meanwhile back on the Necros, Regenold had been trying to fill the void left by Sypherian. But no other slave seemed to do it. He was also growing disenchanted with Red Venom and his plans of galactic destruction. All these things combined were enough to convince him to try to contact Sypherian, after getting a secure line, he tipped her off to the location of an Alliance antimatter storage facility. Eager to redeem herself, Sypherian set about organising a mission to raid it and use it to destroy the corruptive gate. Antimatter being one of, if not the most powerful explosive substance in the galaxy.
After convening with the Empire, Sypherian takes part in a mission to steal this antimatter, working as a commander back on the ship, not her usual role by any means. With the help of The Highguard and one of Regenold's agents, Brackman, the mission is a success. With enough antimatter secured to cause a devastating explosion a massive Sirasion fleet is assembled. There then came the issue of who was going to be brave enough to pilot the ship carrying the antimatter. Sypherian realised that in her eyes, this was the only way she could atone for her initial failure of letting Regenold ally with Red Venom.
As the fleet arrived at the breach in the quarentine zone they are no match for the destructive dark cloud of lightning and smoke that formed the Corrupter himself. Sypherian, using an experimental bomber made by Regenold, manages to fly through the destructive cloud. For a brief second, she bridges the gap and enters the corruptive realm, it is said to this day she is the only one who entered the corruptive realm and came out unscathed. After depositing the payload and making her escape, the bomb does just as predicted. The resulting explosion is so powerful within the corruptive realm that it de-stabilises the gate. Following the battle, Sypherian returns to Siran and is heralded as a hero for her actions.
As time goes on, Sypherian continues leading her cult and acting as a key figure in the Sirasion Empire. She personally handles the initial meeting with the Yaku and a number of other surprisingly diplomatic tasks. She is very quickly becoming a prominent face of the Empire. It was at this time Zurrok met with her and spoke about the civil unrest that plagued the Sirasion Empire, how its people craved a strong, Sirasion leader and that his time as an alien ruler would soon come to an end. He told Sypherian that she was a very strong candidate as a choice for his successor. While Sypherian was unsure whether she wanted this responsibility she felt honoured non the less. However this is also where her loyalty to the empire would receive its greatest test. The long lost station Tartarus was rediscovered Sypherian and her cult were tasked with being the initial exploration team. With all three major factions at the time wanting a piece of the station and the secrets it held onboard, everyone came together to organise a joint exploration. But on the eve of the mission, Sypherian received another vision from Trezekh, but this time something different happened. She awoke from the strange vision with an imposing Sirasion standing in the corner of her room. Trezekh himself had manifested an avatar so that he may join the mission. Before the mission Trezekh spoke to Sypherian about his own objective of finding clues to the location of pieces of his World Forger, while Sypherian was unsure, her loyalty ultimately fell on Trezekh. When the exploration team found the central data room, Trezekh revealed himself in his true form, having discovered a piece of the device that 'awakened' the hidden pieces all around the galaxy. In an instant the tensions between factions soared and war loomed its head over the horizon once again. After this Trezekh vanished, re-appearing in his temple on Siran. Sypherian herself was interrogated by the war council and it was ultimately decided she would be stripped of her rank in the Empire until she could proove herself in their eyes once more. During the meeting, Zurrok said nothing, his sense of disappointment in her needed no words. As Sypherian and as a result, the cult, went back to living a life in exile, Trezekh remained within the temple. The cult were closer to their god than ever before and it definitely did well to lift their spirits during a difficult time. Sypherian began to confide in Trezekh a lot, having the divine being that had essentially set her on her life path be with her physically was a very surreal experience. She found out more about Trezekh, things she had before believed were just twists and turns of the fevered visions he showed her, but this time directly from his own mouth. However in revealing his true form in the material universe, not to mention creating his avatar, had drained a significant portion of his power, and he needed time and care to have any hope of returning to his former power. The cult tended to his every whim, bringing him everything he needed, though despite the constant attention, he always picked Sypherian out from the crowd. As time went on however the cult began to suffer, the lack of imperial funding meant they couldn't keep their fleet of ships operational nor afford all the general expenses such an organisation needed. Sypherian however had a plan. Since the Necrophyte Dynasty had been re-formed, Regenold and his Cult of the Blackfeather had become an outcast terrorist faction on everyone's hit list. Somehow he had managed to secure and Omega node and the Sirasions had a strong hunch it could be onboard the Necros. Taking a huge risk, Sypherian contacted Regenold and claimed that she missed his company, that she never stopped thinking about the time they spent together. Regenold ate it right up and immediately allowed Sypherian passage to the Necros. For the next several months Sypherian worked under deep cover within the Necros until she found out where the power node was. She found it hooked up to the Necros' main gun. She waited and waited until the time was right until finally she went for it. She stole the power node and made her escape in a Blackfeather shuttle, Regenold cursing and screaming after her. She knew Regenold would never trust her again, but none of that mattered as she presented the power node to the war council. She was reinstated to her former position and the cult's funding returned. ___________________________________________________ As the war reached its peak, Sypherian was as busy as anyone else on the war council, with Sal'tarn Darkstar as the new emperor things were much different than they had been before. Darkstar himself being a firm follower of Syros other religious practises were often looked down upon by him and his close followers. As the final battle against Bashi took place and the The Great Worm was summoned, Trezekh knew his time in the galaxy was up, with the world forger destroyed he knew there was nothing left for him other than to return to his realm and face his punishment. Sypherian spent Trezekh's last hours with him in the temple, there she confessed all of her deepest feelings toward him. In one final night of passion Sypherian conceived the child that would be Sar'lira. Sypherian felt a part of herself die along with Trezekh's mortal body, the presence she had always felt on her shoulder was gone. ____________________________________________________ Eventually the Cult officially disbanded, Sypherian going on to lead the Sirasion Intelligence Section. Something had changed in her the day Trezekh left, she didn't feel like herself anymore, dealing with so many of her own problems she found it hard to properly raise her daughter, who was showing a scary amount of supernatural potential. Sar'lira showed an incredibly sharp wit at a young age, becoming incredibly interested with her mother's dealings in the war council. She managed to gain the trust of the rest of the council and was allowed to sit in on meetings under the condition she listen and not speak. Sypherian knew her daughter would be destined for great things, being by definition, a demi-god. She harshly trained Sar'lira for any potential future challenges, but did so in a way more a kin to one of her recrutes than her own daughter. Sypherian and Sar'lira began to drift further and further apart until eventually, when Sar'lira took her trial of adulthood, they stopped seeing each other completely. to Sypherian, she had failed her daughter having pushed her away by pushing her too hard. She disappeared for a while, going on a long pilgrimage through the jungles of Siran in an attempt to find any sort of meaning in her life. Eventually so stumbled across the old temple of Trezekh. Believing this to be some sort of spiritual sigh she stayed at the temple to meditate, living in it's shelter and living off the land. When she decided to venture back to society she heard the news of Sar'lira's accomplishments against the Sirasion Contingency. In her eyes her work had paid off in the end, she made contact with Sar'lira again and told her all about who her father was. Sar'lira, who had been lead to believe her father was a random individual from a one night stand, was eager to learn more. Sypherian agreed to train Sar'lira in the ways of Trezekh.

Education
Sypherian, like other Sirasions, was schooled from a young age on basic academic subjects, however it's her physical skills that set her apart from the rest. Sypherian is known for being well trained in the art of stealth and espionage. She knows how to move quieter than any of her kin, strike more precisely than any apex predator and hide in the shadows more effectively than the dark itself. She is fully trained by the Sirasion Scouts, showing an affinity for assassination, however she is also knowledgeable on setting explosive and multiple kinds of sabotage.
One of Sypherian's favourite claims is that she knows the vital organ locations on over five hundred alien species and the best ones to stab through to ensure a kill.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Sypherian is most known for forming the Cult of Trezekh , the shadowy organisation that deals with assassination and espionage. responsible for defeating the Great Corruptor.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Sypherian's drive over anything is to do the bidding of Trezekh, everything else in her life is secondary including family, love life and personal gain. While Sypherian is a devout imperial, fiercely loyal to the cause, if it came to choosing sides it would always be Trezekh.
In her current state, with Trezekh gone and having done him the ultimate service of baring his mortal child, Sypherian is without motivation, she seldom sees her daughter, Sar'lira , and keeps mostly to herself, being much older now she leads to Sirasion Intelligence Section, keeping away from field work, but those close to her know that her passion for life is gone without Trezekh.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Sypherian is known to have contacts everywhere in all major factions. These are people she has influence over usually from black or has charmed. It is well known that Sypherian has several Alliance generals in her pocket and a number of Skaronians at very high rank, however from her travels and exploits she has a number of street gangs ready to fight for her if needed.
Family Ties
Having lost her mother very young, Sypherian spent most of her time growing up with her father, who himself was fairly detached from everything. He was even absent from her initial trials of adulthood. When she joined the military she did not look back. She dropped out of contact with her father completely after establishing the cult.
During her service in the cult Sypherian met a military officer named Herk'an, her and her cult were working with the officer and his unit to flank around an enemy battle line and strike from behind, the group was camped on the ridge in ambush position for a total of four days, with plenty of time to kill a number of the party got busy, including Sypherian and Herk'an. What initially started as some time killing in the bushes ended up happening a number of more times when the two would encounter one another on deployment. Eventually the two did the Sirasion equivalent of getting married. However it turned out the spark the two had only existed in the threads of a battlefield. They soon became disenchanted with one another, Sypherian only staying with him so she had a place to reside within society rather than the cult temple that was deep in the jungle.
Before Zher'tekh, the avatar of Trezekh, left, he and Sypherian shared one final night where she became pregnant with his child. Sypherian ended up having to raise Sar'lira completely on her own, if anyone found out about who the father was there would no doubt be consequences from the Syros loyal majority, even being so cautious she didn't inform any of the cult. She knew Sar'lira would be destined for great things and was intent on pushing her in such directions. She was very hard on Sar'lira, often times treating her like one of her recruits in the cult rather than her own daughter. As the Cult of Trezekh began to fizzle out, Sypherian entered a state of depression, Sar'lira being forced to become independent at a young age. Sar'lira was very interested in her mothers life, and despite the hard time she was given adored her. Despite this as Sar'lira grew up the two became more and more distant towards one another.
When Sar'lira became empress she made contact with her mother again, who was now one of her subordinates. Sypherian, having grown up a lot herself, felt guilty for how she treated Sar'lira, The two eventually made amends for their troubled past, Sypherian agreeing to take Sar'lira to the temple of Trezekh to become more in tune with her shadowy powers she inherited from her father.
Social Aptitude
A good spymaster needs charisma. Sypherian is no exception. She is very well known to be a social expert and even a bit of a deviant, she uses all of this to get what she wants be it for the mission or personal gain. She is very socially adaptable, being exceptionally good at reading people and saying the right things. She is also moderately skilled in a vast number of languages which helps in this endeavour.
