Sam's mother died in childbirth, and since he had no other relatives that anyone knew about, he was put in Hestia Orphanage and grew up there at the same time as Calvin Keller. Sam was sometimes bullied by Paolo Garcia, but never as bad or as much as Calvin was. It did lead Sam to resent Paolo, even after Paolo stopped being a bully.

Linda was a groupie who adored Eric in particular, and Eric was one of the few band members who liked both boys and girls.
