Hestia Orphanage

Just north of Tartarus stands the last remaining mansion of the rich neighborhood Daffodil Meadow that was there before the slum of Tartarus gobbled up the rest of land there.

The mansion was the original residence of the Daffodil Family but they didn’t want to live next to a slum, so they sold it. It came into the possession of Darius Quentin who turned it into an orphanage, with the intention of laundering money through that, but he made one mistake, he hired a half Lydian woman to run it for him and as soon as she discovered his illegal activity she used her special abilities to persuade him to leave, and she ran it alone after that.

Later Crystal Daffodil helped make sure nobody else would interfere by making sure the half Lydian woman owned the property.

Tartarus has stopped growing north, because as full of crime as it is, nobody there dares go up against the half Lydian woman, known only as Matron.

Purpose / Function

A luxurious mansion, residence of the Daffodil Family.

Alterations

After becoming an orphanage the interior was repainted light gray with a slight blue tint. A couple of non-load-bearing walls on the ground floor were knocked out to make the dining room bigger. The study on the ground floor was turned into Matron’s office and bedroom. Anton Gilbert converted part of the basement into a “meat farm” to grow steaks in.
