Seom Islands
The Seom Islands consist of two major islands and many small ones. The largest island is Gyeongseong, which is the cultural and economic center of the archipelago. The second major island is Jiyul, which is known for its scenic beauty and rugged terrain. The smaller islands are mostly uninhabited, except for a few fishing villages.
The largest city in the Seom Islands is Daeryeon, called Higashiyama by the Yanjin, which is located on the eastern coast of Gyeongseong. It is a bustling metropolis, with a population of over 10,000 people. Daeryeon is known for its vibrant markets, delicious cuisine, and lively entertainment.
The Rengo people, who are a minority ethnic group in the Empire of Wamato, reside primarily on the Seom Islands. They have a rich cultural heritage and a distinctive language and traditions that set them apart from the dominant Yanjin culture. The Rengo people have a strong connection to the natural world and have developed a deep understanding of the local ecology. They believe that the land and sea are sacred, and treat them with great respect and reverence.
Geography
The islands are surrounded by deep ocean waters, making them difficult to access from the mainland. The two main islands of the Seom Islands are Gyeongseong and Jiyul, while smaller islands like Jumudo and Saryangdo dot the surrounding waters. The islands are characterized by their steep cliffs, rocky shores, and lush forests.
