Greefolk
Tier: IV, Strong Hold
The Greefolk are the powerful clans who control Awarth’s most vital resource: Gree, a volatile, viscous substance harvested from the Greebeasts that dwell beneath The Blast's boiling, oil-laden waters. United by blood, tradition, and survival, the Greefolk clans are both rivals and allies, each specializing in a unique facet of the gree trade—from extraction and processing to the crafting of charms and the mediation of conflicts that could destabilize Awarth's fragile economy. Greefolk are defined by grit, resourcefulness, and a respect for the brutal, unpredictable forces that govern the Blasted Isles, especially The Boil. Each clan bears scars, symbols, and stories passed down through generations.

Structure
The Greefolk operate under a balanced yet flexible alliance known as the Ring of Five, a council comprised of representatives from each major clan: Caerllyn, Vossryn, Fawney, Grymarh, and Maelvor. Meeting at Brinehall in the Greewerks, the Ring of Five maintains an equilibrium of power, with decisions made by majority vote and guided by Bond of Blood & Brine—a code that binds the clans to protect the gree trade and resolve disputes. While each clan remains sovereign under its own leadership, the Ring ensures mutual cooperation, uniting the clans under a shared purpose while respecting their distinct roles and traditions.
