Ring of Five
The Ring of Five is the governing council of the Greefolk clans, a sometime precarious alliance that ensures the survival, stability, and prosperity of Awarth's gree trade. Comprised of representatives from each major clan—Clan Caerllyn , Clan Vossryn, Clan Fawney, Clan Grymarh, and Clan Maelvor —the Ring balances the strengths, rivalries, and interests of the Greefolk to maintain unity and protect the Bond of Blood & Brine, the ancient pact binding them. Each clan leader, known by distinct titles that reflect their clan’s values, sits as an equal member, with no clan holding dominance over the others. The Ring meets at Brinehall, a neutral ground deep in Greewerks , where they debate trade policies, resolve inter-clan conflicts, and collectively decide on issues that could affect Awarth’s delicate economy. While consensus can be difficult, each clan’s unique perspective—from Caerllyn’s expertise in The Underboil to Grymarh’s control of Gree production—ensures that the Ring’s decisions reflect the full range of Greefolk interests.
