Padushan Shal'Tuiz Character in Tarien | World Anvil

Padushan Shal'Tuiz

Elynthi Diplomat

Padushan has been called "fierce beyond her ears" displaying a ruthless streak that promises to take her far in the politics of Merdenkal Peninsula if she would only display the patience that it requires. It was this lack of patience - and a rather sharp tongue - that landed her on a diplomatic mission to Azermathia For her, no place could be further from civilization. Even the private bath in the manor she and her enterouage have rented in Rathgar can't be cleaned enough to eliminate the stain of humanity. Still, it was her criticism of others, specifically the House Vorka heir, that found her unwelcome in Merdenkal and forced her family to ship her halfway across Tarien and she plans to make the most of the opportunity.

Padushan favors thin silk kimonos in bright colors, often embroidered with the designs of predators from myth and legend. She flaunts her magical prowess even in human lands, using her diplomatic status to ignore local laws and passing off every spell as mirccacle of Nosferian. The sooner she can complete her mission - to assess potential markets for Elynthi goods in Azermathia, the sooner she can return to her studies. At least her secondary mission - to make contact with the more elements in Esmee's Entourage - piques her interest as a conjuror.

Far from home and displeased by it, Padushan has a short temper and sharp tongue, neither of which are great traits for a diplomat. She flaunts her magical powers before the superstitious Azermathians and wants nothing more than to be done with her mission and return to Merdenkal.
