Kinsalavi Mountains
The Kinsalavi Mountains run north and south along the southern portion Isthmas of Geltamar, its towering peaks cutting the eastern portion off from the storms that rage in the Sea of Storms. The result is the Blasted Lands, a desolate wasteland of rock and sand to the east of the range. The range itself towers, one of the highest on Tarien, with its peaks snow-capped year round. It is unclear to scholars why this stretch of mountains rise so abruptly from the coastline, especially as the various ridges to the south are so unimposing. Regardless, the dramatic rise of these mountains makes them full of rugged trails, steep cliffs, and other foreboding geological features. This unapproachability makes them one of hte least explored regions of the confinement, despite their proximity to the Inner Seas.
