Isthmas of Geltamar
Like many of Eldoria's, this citystate took advantage of the Tarien's Fifth Century strife to achieve independence. Unlike many other colonies, however, it achieved its goal with a simple purchase by buying out their freedom. Shrewdly, they retained ownership of the Canal and agreed to have it policed by the Imperial Legion, keeping their source of revenue without covering the cost of its security. While few migrate to Geltamar permanently, most of Tarien's well travelled have passed though this small citystate.
