Fahrom's Tomb

Was Fahrom original a mortal? Those that follow his teachings, especially the zealots of the Carboth Desert say not. Born a god, granted his powers by the Old Ones, he merely spent his formative years under the tutelage of Intrix. Others - never in the Emirates of the Dharja'shan where such blasphemy would cost the speaker his head - claim that like Legerdemain, Fahrom rose to power on Tarien, perhaps in the Age of Sun, and ascended to godhood through his own acts.

It is the existence of his tomb, deep within the Blasted Lands, they say, that proves this theory. Unfortunately, other than the ravings of Abdi-Adar, the sole survivor of General d'Vries ill-fated expedition in the Blasted lands, there is no evidence that the tomb existence.

Even more perplexing is the fact that the spiritual writings of Fahrom's faithful do not deny the existence of a tomb. Indeed, they embrace it, failing to reconcile the notion of a god's tomb with his own, ongoing divinity. Some scholars have claimed this irrationality to be a trick of language, that "tomb" in Dharjan means more a center of eternal power, than a final resting place, as it does in Eldorian. Indeed, the Dharja are known to generally cremate, rather than bury, their dead.
